I have never been around more whiners and babies than 75% of the people that post on the SDSU fan board. The ones I am referring to are the most two faced fans I have ever encountered. There are some really good fans and knowledgable but for the most part they live in their own world.
I think the billboard campaign is funny as hell, and other than a couple of them, all they do is whine about it. Holy crap, how can you ever have a rivalry with a fan base that is so egotistical? As I noted, there are some that are good fans, but 3 out of 4 of them are not in touch with anything.
Just venting here.

They epitomize everything they claim to hate about SD......they're the best example of projection that I've seen in a while! Some....not all of course

I agree...they think this is just awful what USD did. Come back to reality. Go to a Duke-UNC basketball game and get back to me about what cross the line really is.

Did they ever!!!!!!! Holy smokes. For as pious and righteous as many of them claim to be, they are ruthless in how they treat their own players and now coaches. There are a few of them with common sense, but the vast majority are so out of touch with reality when it comes to sports, they have no clue. Their starting quarterback quit, and I would bet alot that it was because of the pressure and criticism he has taken without justification. Right now, the jacks defense couldn't stop a good junior high team, so when a QB can't generate 40-50 points of offense to overcome their poor D, he takes the brunt of it. Simply amazing.

As is the case with most struggling teams, the qb tends to be the scapegoat. Too bad in this case, the pressure from the outside caused this young man to quit doing something he loves when in reality everything wasn't his fault as many fans seem to be claiming. Hopefully, his passion for football will return someday.

It is really amazing to see their fans going crazy on their board. I can't believe how terrible they are on that board towards their team. You are right yoteforever. Jackrabbit fans are terrible, even though they claim we are the terrible ones. At least we aren't chasing our athletes away! That is ridiculous and it should never get to that point.

Ruthless!!! Are the USD fans without sin? Cast the first stone and the pot will call the kettle black. Things are not going good this season and I am still a fan and enjoy coming here to read what you guys got to say. I started a thread called "Just a game" If you read the first post, you will see how I feel about how things are going. As most thread do, it contains several digressing posts so just ignore them. I believe there are nearly 300 active posters on that board and some of them I have clashed with, but it goes with the territory. If I am arrogant in making this post then so be it. I do not resemble Mr Burns from the Simpson as implied over on our board by usdfbalum. Good luck to the Yotes in Madison Wi this Saturday. Don't let Camp Randall overwhelm you fine folks. sdsufans.com/board/showthread.php?11287-Just-A-Game.

No, we aren't without sin, but for the last decade, SDSU fans have acted like they are without sin....Beat State, not your wife shirts...love how that was offensive but the actual act that caused it was not.

The actual act (I suppose I should say illeged act to avoid being accused of libel), which most seem to assume really happened, was extremely offensive and totally unjustitifiable. It was also not a part of the rivalry between SDSU and USD athletics. It was a tragic action between two individuals, only one of which was associated with one of the aforementioned universtities. It had nothing to do with either university. It was a private event and any public discussion, if any, should have been in a court of law, not the court of tasteless t-shirts! I am not claiming perfection, just requesting that that jabs, verbal or otherwise, be limited to topics which are germaine to the athletic rivalry itself. I will seek to honor that request in my words, posts, and actions.

Okay, I'll take the bait: Who said the act was not? Everyone who defended the decision to keep him! I thought the last thing I would ever do is remind jack fans that this is a smack thread! However, I do understand the natural expectation one would have to elevate the conversion on the USD forum ;D I upgraded my Dish package yesterday. Looking forward to watching the SD and NDSU games on the BTN this Saturday! Go Yotes!

Legally, their expectation of privacy is lower than that of, say, you or I. As public figures, for lack of better term, they are "fair game". Now, were the T's over the line. Probably. But you are comparing the actions of college kids to the alleged action of a highly public representative of a state institution. You're not gonna win that argument. It was years ago. This thing has been hashed over way too many times. Let's move onto some new items. How's the football season going up north? Play anybody we might know from our conference? How'd the game turn out?

Okay, I'll take the bait: Who said the act was not? Many Jacks fans, it was crazy. Most of the SDSU fans I knew at the time said everything about that report was made up. The funny thing, I wasn't associated with either university at the time it happened and the shirts were worn. So I had no bias, but many people thought Oien was setup, especially the ones I knew in Sioux Falls at the time.

But wasn't what Bill Clinton did private, and how did that turn out. Considering he works for a PUBLIC university, that stuff should be made public. Daugaard just said this week that employees of the state should have their contracts made public, why not legal statements? Also, if the private life is so private, why did DJ Strawberry have to be mocked so much for what his dad did, not what he did, during every ACC basketball game that he played? Sorry, that was free game, and the Beat State, Not Your Wife shirts, are far less offensive than anything done in the ACC...welcome to college sports.
