I like the adidas brand and have some stuff by them. I will continue to keep the brand on the top of my shopping list when they are part of a choice to be made. Anytime a company chooses to invest in the Yotes I will give serious consideration to investing in them. If all Yotes merchandise is also in adidas it's a nice brand to be stuck with if not given the choice. Good deal for the Yotes.

VERMILLION, S.D. – University of South Dakota Athletics has signed an all-inclusive deal with adidas to become the official shoe and apparel provider for the department’s sports teams, USD Director of Athletics, David Sayler, announced Thursday.
The partnership with adidas will allow the Athletic Department to achieve brand consistency and provide other growth opportunities, while being affiliated with one of the most recognizable shoe and apparel companies in the world.
In addition, the agreement with adidas marks the first time all USD intercollegiate athletic programs have been included in a single, all-encompassing apparel agreement. Utilizing a single vendor for all programs will ensure consistency in image and branding throughout the athletic department, across the campus and in the community.
“The opportunity to align ourselves with a global company such as adidas is something that all fans of South Dakota should feel good about,” Sayler said. “This agreement will ensure brand consistency and greatly aid in the process of getting more Coyote gear into the marketplace.”
The department has been working on increasing the notoriety of the USD brand, especially as it relates to Athletics. The university launched a new athletic logo campaign in August, and with the transition to NCAA Division I almost complete, the partnership brings additional distinction to USD.
“Our new partnership with South Dakota allows us to bring the best in adidas performance footwear and apparel to their student-athletes, including the lightest football cleat in the game, the adizero 5-Star and the revolutionary TechFit compression uniform,” said adidas director of team sports Mark Daniels. “We look forward to a long relationship with the university and are excited to see all 17 Coyote sports teams and their fans wear three stripes next season as they compete at the Division I level.”
The added result of the partnership will be the ability to outfit all Coyote student-athletes in consistent uniform and color combinations, enhance the USD brand and an opportunity to “Spread the Red.”
