The time is narrowing down till the start of the Joe Glenn Era. Predict how many wins USD will have in total, and how many wins we will have in the Missouri Valley Conference.

There will be a lot to sort out before we know the real character of the 2012 Coyotes, but State wouldn't have been able to beat us last year and they finished in the middle of the pack in MVFC, I think that's a reasonable starting point. I think 6-5 is possible in a difficult schedule, and would be a great start to the dominance that will be coming!

The fact that its a rivalry game , anyone can win those type of games.

Therefore they should have no problem beating a five win Jacks team in Brookings.

Many of our losses last season (and in most recent seasons) should have been wins. Games we were leading but collapsed or didn't finish for one reason or another. The talent is there. It's not like we're looking at a rebuilding the program project. If it were that I don't think Joe Glenn would have taken the job.
I think many Coyote fans are optimistic in that Coach Glenn will get the most of this talent and finish those games we haven't been able to in the past. He has a track record of winning at this level, hence, you are getting these optimistic responses.

All we can do is speculate about the "missing years" of the State/U rivalry, but it seems that the Coaches polls for most of last year provided an objective look at who the better team was. As for 2012, the Coyotes have some questions to answer, and I stated that middle of the conference, 6-5 is POSSIBLE, and would be a good year. With this schedule and the unknowns, I'm not sure their are any safe wins.........except for the dinner date

I didn't follow USD really well last year but I thought that they lost a lot of their better players. I guess I can't predict USD's record because I thought they'd be worse than last year with the tougher schedule and the losses they have from a player standpoint. I didn't know if the players that are still there fit into what coach Glenn likes doing. With his proven track record, he can win with other types of players but it's tougher.
