Don't know too much about the Leathernecks (2-2) but in their last game they lost to Illinois St. 23-3. From their message board, www.leathernecknation.com/Forum15-1.aspx, it sounds like there might be some unrest in Macomb.

PREDICTION TIME!!!!!
Yotes come out of the tunnel to a huge D-Days crowd and add another win to their record. Sims has another 100+ yd day with 2 rushing TDs and Josh will add another 3 scores.

Although I love to pound the rock and I think we need to be able to establish the run in every game this season if we want to survive, I would love to see JVM put up huge passing numbers with Powell and Terry this week.

Bonehead plays/calls minimized (yes, this includes the officials) + large crowd + confident team = leathernecks get shaded 34-20.

Questions is.... will the Yotes wear all red for D-Days this year? Years past we would bust out the tomatoes on D-Days 'cause it was usually some NAIA patsy but now it's a new day.

Good question, but I don't care what color they wear so long as they come away with a win and some confidence. That would really set us up well for our visit to a struggling Missouri State and a chance to FINALLY get a road win, let alone a road win in the Valley to boot. We could be 3-3 heading in to the SF game at HWF against NDSU, possibly cracking the FCS top 25 by that time and knock the Bizon (someone should really inform that school that's like calling the 'Yotes the Ki-yotees) down a few notches. That last sentence could have used a few more acronyms, but I digress. I like the Coyotes' chances in this one if they can clean things up. Get to the tail-gate, wear red, and cheer loud this weekend. Happy D-Days!

You are already getting vote(s) in the FCS poll. www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform.aspx?c=sportsnetwork&page=cfoot2/misc/cfoot225poll.aspx

Yes sir, but as you know getting votes is not the same as actually making the top 25. I should have done a better job of clarifying that. That's what I get for trying to post at work!
I appreciated the inclusion of the "getting vote(s)" in your message. Adding the (s) was being kind. =) The next three weekends will tell us a lot about this team.

Pretty disappointing result. Just listened to it, didn't see it, but sounded like defense was on the field most of the game.

A big let down from what could/should have been another step up the ladder. I expected we would be out-manned in the trenches this season but was hoping the team would be "coached up" (with better execution) to offset some of that deficiency. Not so.

The competition we've gotten used to during the transition are gone. We have to get better. Right now we're just not there. It's not just the offense, the defense or the special teams. It's all of them.
