Enough looking in the rear view mirror! Let's move on and get some posts in on the upcoming game.
I still think confidence/intensity can make up for a lot of things. I'd like to see a pumped up team beat the Bears 24-20. Go yotes!!

Will Powell is the best offensive player for the coyotes, If we don't start passing the ball to him at least 8 to 10 times a game we will continue to lose.

I agree, get Powell the ball.
How am I gonna watch this in Phoenix? Do they have an internet broadcast like CoyoteVision only hopefull, ten times better?
I'm not very fired up yet.
Go Yotes though.

Terry Allen is their head coach, and despite their recent run of luck, he has proven in the past he can coach. Allen was the QB at UNI bak in the 70's, and started his caching career there. He had a great run as head coach at UNI, and although was under .500 at Kansas, he didn't get that job because he can't coach.
On the other hand, we have the most passionate coach there is in football, and also comes from a storied past. I say the old fox gets him.

Good luck against the Bears. I am not an expert, but my prediction is that USD stands a better chance of winning in a low scoring game than a high scoring game.

That was certainly the best half of football I have seen the Yotes play this year. I know it sounds like an overstatement, but the tackling and discipline (read relative lack of penalties) was a real improvement.

Pretty sad performance. Very disappointed. I am sure the players played their hardest, but this should have been a W.

Man the radio guys blow. Who is the hack with Van Gohr? It is someone who provides lots of articulation of his own emotions, but little insight and fewer facts, that is for sure. If only they understood the listeners were not actually at the game, it would really help. Big plays happen, and then little explanation.

Another painful loss. We seem to correct some mistakes but continue to both repeat some of the same mistakes along with finding new ways to lose every week. We give up another big pass play. We commit another key turnover. We finally solve the problem with blocked punts but then proceed to give up a big punt return at the end of the game.
Another disappearing act in the second half. (And we wonder why a lot of students clear out at half time)
We still have a lot of issues to solve, but the quality of our radio broadcasts is a big improvement. We have a much better coverage area, a hugely improved pregame and postgame show, and an improved play by play guy with JVG & improved color commentary from RJ. Keep up the good work.

Reading the play-by-play board it looks like the Yotes had 'em down big time in the first half then let things get away from them especially in the fourth quarter. In the first two quarters it appears the run set up the pass and they were also able to stop the run. Both great accomplishments! In the second half it looks like the o-line allowed some sacks and the team made some plays against themselves.
Yes, I'm a bit discouraged but it appears we are getting better - not in a hurry, but step-by-step. It's my belief that if we stick to fundamentals we're going to take a game or two down the road.
The almighty Bison lost this week. I say let's forget this game and look ahead to chowing down on Bison next week!!!!
