If I were recruiting against USD for a kid I'd make an assumption about Glenn not being there long either. The race thing is pretty low. I heard that SDSU's coach has a coach at a high assistant level position at Oregon since Chip Kelly left. The contract will be finalized on Monday. That's not true, but see how easy that is to say a coach can leave, whether it's Glenn or anyone? But Oregon did name their new offensive coordinator, and it's former Husker QB Scott Frost that was on UNIs staff a couple three years ago. So not so far off.

Is there a coach in America that can promise you he will be at the same school in 4 years? If they are having success everyone worries they will make a jump to a better program...If they aren't winning championships people want to run them out of town. Look at the mans record. How many times has he left a job unfinished? My research didn't reveal any. All the coaches I talked to had nothing but positive things to say about coach Glenn. That includes MVC coaches. Not all of them think he will turn USD around, but they all say he is a man of integrity and he knows how to win. I for one am looking forward to the next 4 years. I agree with you and I understand it goes both ways. I'm simply stating that's how he'll be recruited against when everyone knows he won't be there 5 yrs from now.

I was just saying that's how I'd recruit against USD; however, the race thing is unacceptable. Negative recruiting is part of life. It happens everywhere.

Yanktonyote - thanks for getting this back to actual recruiting news! Outside of the kid from Colorado with the big leg for kicking, any word on a long snapper? That position is often overlooked, but a very important part of special teams. Is someone on the team with that skill or are we recruiting for a snapper?

The way the Coyote offense is set up it might not matter the skill at wide receiver. Run left, run right, run up the middle. Hope this kid can block.

Welcome Khalid! From his highlights I found online he looks like a smooth player. Great get if he signs this week.

If you don't have anything useful to say, then stay out of this thread. Why would you post that? What is the value? The staff is kicking butt recruiting. They are building a program.

Let's ease up on coyotefan on this one, he's got a point. If the coaches stick with JVM at quarterback and he continues to improve as a runner-then-passer, it's not crazy to think USD will recruit to that for 2 years. Bring in a solid line, and backs & receivers who can block. Makes sense right?

Why would a 3 star receiver de-commit from Tulsa and come to USD if the coaches really believed they were going to go down the same street. My guess is the offense is changing courses and the Coyotes figure they have a quarterback of the future either in house or com g. Secondly, my point in replying was the negative comments without knowing what the coaches have in mind. I agree with CouinEddie in that our staff is working their butts off.

Who recruited Earl? Why is he here? IS he still here? Is he switching to tight end?

Yoteforever, You are ridiculous. No matter what I say you jump on me and quite frankly it is very tiring. Will Powell was limited very severely by quarterback play for a good portion of his career. The Coyotes don't pass well so when I make comments that make some sense why do you continually hold a grudge against me. You sound like a real ass for the way you try to thrown flames at me every chance you get regardless what my comments were. Why are you not in the basketball threads talking about the teams. Don't you care about the programs. You never have much positive to say about anything that is going on, on the court. You would rather hang around the Jacks board and converse with them, despite being treated very poorly much of the time. You come on here every change you get to slam a harmless comment but where are your "yeah that's right I agree with you about the momentum of the basketball team" comments. I don't read anything from you on that front. Maybe you should start acting like respectful person and stop flaming me. Personally I think CF#1 should warn you for your last comment about me but since you are his best bud I know that won't be happening. You may not like what I say about the football program but I have a pretty good feel about what is going on. You are too close to the program on a personal level to make good sound judgements on what is or is not best for the team. When it comes to predicting whether the Coyotes will win or lose a game I will come out on top much more often than you will, yet you and many others claim I don't know squat. What I do know how to do is to distance my personal loyalties to the Coyotes in what the proper decision making should be for the program. Yoteforever you will not do that. In you umpteen years following the Yotes I bet you have never or barely ever made it public that you think a coach should be fired. Remember last year and the year before how much crap I took for publically saying I wanted Ed gone. Now look at how many people are basically slamming him now that he is gone. According to many now Meierkort suddenly couldn't do anything right and his players were basically overweight, unhealthy bums. That is what many people are saying now that wouldn't say then. I had the foresight to see it and say it before most would admit it. I thought Glenn seemed to be a good hire at the time but he has done nothing yet to prove that. He hasn't made good decisions with his coaching staff nor his player personell, or so it would appear. Meierkort needed to be let go but with that said he never had a year as bad as 2012 was for the Yotes. I still believe that Meierkort had good players but they were undercoached. I certainly think this years recruiting class seems promising but I am waiting to judge until I can see how this group mixes with each other as a cohesive unit. I have gone way beyond the point of trusting what I am told to believe. I need to see it first to believe it. How can anyone blame any Coyote fan for taking that angle. Every program wins championships with their recruiting classes before they hit the field. Everyone believes they have the best players so we will see how we actually turn those players into a ton of wins down the line. Glenn may be recruiting well right now but even with the apparent success on that trail the Yotes are still just merely even with the other MVFC schools when it comes to talent. I heard someone earlier say that they didn't care much about X's and O's but with equal talent it's gonna take some creative and innovative coaching to seperate the top teams from the bottom. Can USD win with the same basic coaching staff they had last year with an upgrade in talent. Many say yes, at this point I say no unless things are proven otherwise. That means at least to the point where the program is an average conference program. You know what they say about fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. It will be interesting to see how things pan out in 2013.
