We aren't best buds Coyote Fan, and clearly yoteforever had a very good point. I don't get the purpose of your post on that one other than to bash the recruitment of a 3-star player who decommitted from Tulsa. But you have to find the negative about it, because getting a 3-star recruit is so negative. Why warn yoteforever, I almost banned you for that stupid post alone.

Why I am replying to coyotefan I don't have a clue, because in the overall scheme of things he tires me out. But I'm going to.
I called you out because once again your post was negative. I swear to god, if the Coyotes signed the number one throwing QB in the country, you would have said something similar. I might be wrong, but history is on my side. In my reply to you coyotefan, I made reference that in order for us to sign a kid of that quality, there must be something being said about a change in the manner we play offense, or, we have landed a quarterback that the coaching staff feels might be able to contribute right away, and this young man from Oklahoma and the new QB can start something big, and have it for 4 years. Otherwise, I'm sure Khalid is a bright young man, and wouldn't have committed to USD if he felt things weren't going to change. Something is being said or promised in the recruiting process that would leave me to believe a change is coming.
I understand the point you were making in that USD's offense was inept last year. Quite frankly, I agreed with you. But that's when the agreement stops. Your answer was to play the Earl kid more, and that's a debatable point. I saw him go in at ISU and play pretty well, and move the ball effectively. Then I saw him go in at SDSU and perform less than admirably, throwing at least 2 oskies, maybe 3. That performance told me that he staffs decision that he wasn't ready was correct.
The truth of the matter is that last year our offense was horrible. It was horrible with JVM, it was horrible with Earl. Plain and simple, it was horrible. You blamed Wesley, and maybe you're right. I blamed the talent that we had on the field, and maybe I'm right. Or maybe, just maybe, we both are right and both are wrong. Time will tell. My point is, in order to get a young man with Khalid's skills, something tells me there's a change coming. What that is, I have no clue.
I believe it was dmans contribution a few days ago that addressed how the offensive line has lost weight, mostly fat, and are getting in better playing condition. That's awesome to hear, because more than likely its coming from his son, and his son would know. Yet on your last post, you take credit for identifying Ed's players were overweight bums. Maybe I'm wrong, but until dmans post, I don't recall you ever talking about our line as being fat, overweight, and not n playing shape. If you did, then I give you full credit. If you didn't, then you are taking credit for something no credit is deserved.
You pat yourself on the back for having the vision Ed Meierkort couldn't coach at this level, and now seemingly, everyone else is jumping on board with you. When you started your fire Ed rants last year, I never once took the position that Ed was without fault. What I said over and over, was that Ed went through transition with a relatively decent record, and that we had more talent play for USD in the Ed Meierkort era since the days of Joe Salem. Also, no matter what you say, was good with boosters. That is important. Fortunately, Joe Glenn is also.
You also lay claim that I am to close to the program, and you'd bet that I never once took a position that a Coyote coach be fired. That's a bet you lose, the difference between you and I is that I don't puff out and beat my chest DEMANDING coaches get fired. Personally speaking, I don't ink it's healthy for that environment to exist. Does it happen at other schools all over the country, yes it does. Does that make it right? I personally ( my opinion only ) don't think it does. There was a football coach in this era that was one of my closest friends on earth, and it was painfully obvious that he no longer should be able to lead our program. I supported the decision of the AD, but I wasn't out walking the streets holding up a banner to have him fired. That is what athletic administrators do. They hire and fire based on the facts they have.
You call me out on basketball, saying I'm not on the basketball threads because I don't care. Well, again that's not true. But I'm not on that thread on the men's side screaming for Boots scalp either. I don't understand basketball as well as I do football, but I would be lying if I said I was happy with the progress. My mom once told me if you don't have something nice to say, then don't say it. That probably applies more than anything to me on this subject. On the woman's side, again I don't follow them real closely. It appears to me, someone not real knowledgable, that Amy is doing a fantastic job. I have started a thread or two to make people aware of upcoming games, or maybe the significance of an upcoming game, but that's about it. But what I will tell you is that I have sent Coach Amy maybe 2 emails congratulating her, or showing support, and I don't even know the young woman. But she is a Coyote, and deserves our support.
Regarding the SDSU website, you're right, I am on there a lot, because I love to talk sports and banter with other fans. And you are also correct, in that by and large they are disrespectful to me, but that's a price I'll pay to at least have discussions about sports. We have maybe 10 posters on here, maybe less, Andy far and away, you are the largest in numbers. If we had more people on here to talk sports with, I would sure as hell prefer that. But the Jacks do have some good fans, and like us, have some real A-holes. I like making them aware of their inconsistencies, and you should know better than anyone, I always used to take your back even when I thought you were out of bounds because you were a Coyote.
Lastly, when it comes down to football, I'll speak my piece. I do think the talent level was low last year, although we had probably the best wife reciever in the country in Powell, but we had no one to get him the ball, and that sucks for Will. I hated it for him. Plus we were YOUNG. Very young. And for the umpteenth time, despite I felt it was wrong to let Ed go, especially in the manner in which it was done, I have given 110% of my support to Joe Glenn, and I feel you should also. And until Joe Glenn says Wesley, or Dick, or Tom, or anyone else can't coach, I will support his decision to keep the staff he has. And if the get rid of Joe, and hire Pete, then I'll support Pete. That's the way it is. But I will never come out and lead a campaign to get someone fired. Never.
Here's my deal with you CF. I will be 100% objective on your posts. From he on out, I will support what you have to say IF it merits the support. All I ask is that all of your posts not be so negative. It is America, and we have free speech, but in the future, have a SHOES approach to your posts. And that simply means to put yourself in all parties shoes before you go off.
No more disrespect.

I admire the patience of the administrators of this board, yoteforever and #1CoyoteFan. You’re trying to provide a message board for entertainment and as a gathering place for USD fans and others following USD sports, to discuss news and do a little speculation. Yoteforever: while we all like the notion of freedom of speech, my Constitutional Law professor at USD taught me that the First Amendment says “CONGRESS shall make no law…abridging the freedom of speech….” Administrators on fan message boards are free to interfere with speech.

Agreed. I like the Oklahoma connection - young men that have some speed and who apparently excell playing on quality turf.

Yoteforever what you consider a negative post I may take the complete oppositive approach. If it looks like things are not going in the right direction, and that can definately be argued after last season, than isn't the positive approach discussing changes that would make sense for the program. I think considering changing to the coaching staff is a positive step in getting back to winning football, you think it is a negative step. That is where you and I simply disagree.
As far as me saying Ed's players were overweight and out of shape, that is not what I said, that is what I said other(s) said. I have always tought Ed had pretty good talent in his D2 days. My stance has always been a lack of overall coaching and discipline. Just to clear the record.
If you don't like what I am saying argue what I write don't take shots at me personally. This board is for debate, so go ahead and debate. There is nothing wrong with bringing up options and bantering back and forth. That is what a board is for. I always keep an open mind. I suggest others do the same.
I believe in generally making reasonable logical decisions. Joe Glenn does have a great resume so I will support him, but that doesn't mean I can't second guess him.
