Missed seeing Bergner on TV but I don't think we can overemphasize the importance of the kicking game at this level of competition.

Agreed, special teams are critical. Who will snap & hold next year? Will the senior long snapper be replaced or will it be by committee?

parents on message board? cmon man... thats a SDSU thing (kai williams)
I wouldnt measure this recruiting class vs NDSU's, honestly, NDSU only has money for about 8 kids and they have 12 verbals already. 3 NDSU kids turned down FBS teams, and the rest are minneapolis/wisconsin kids....
so USD is going after different kids..... sdsu is doing god knows what, and und offers everyone with a pulse over 84 offers!! how hilarious is that!

Sounds like USD will have quite a few scholarships open for this recruiting class now. I'd probably expect 30 kids?
It sounds like things may start to get straightened out. Busy time for all the coaches in the country.

We've had parents on this board before and it works out fine. Unlike Bisonville, this place stays pretty civil. USD has always recruited different markets than the other Dakota schools going all the way back to the NCC days by a couple decades. We've always had a wide recruiting base with kids coming in from Florida, Colorado, Cali, Illinois. So yeah, we do go after some different kids.

Administrators: Why are these posts still on the board? Natalie Wolters? Running down parents for posting comments? I thought we took the garbage out a long time ago.

As a parent who posted a comment (and admittedly boasted about my son's commitment to USD), I want to say that the reason I joined this forum was to gain some insight into the kind of fan base my son would have as support. We both hoped for a fan base with a passion for the team that would attend the games regularly, get noisy and (hopefully) provide some financial support as well.
Im glad to see that there are obviously some passionate fans who really want this program to take off and to rival the other Dakota D1's. They should never be silenced. Stay loud, stay persistent, ask questions and above all, believe...

Keep posting GBNative. The comment about parents was posted by the infamous "LakesBison", a NDSU fan . A quick google search of his handle will expalin all you need to know about Lakes.

I am looking forward to the next four years cheering on my son and the rest of the football team with all of you.

You'll have a great time and meet life-long friends. As for lakesbison -- he's a sad little person and this is one of the few message boards in the midwest on which he still has posting privileges. He is best ignored.

Easy there Melo Anthony, I have heard worse things said on a playground set. We definitely allow parents on this board and welcome to it. It's good for parents to show support of the team their kids are a part of and that's how a fan base grows. I look forward to seeing your kids be a part of this program in the future.

I guess I thought for Lakes those posts were pretty tame. He hasn't really said anything that bad on this board that would award him the hammer. Besides, Lakes act is pretty universally known around these parts, nobody listens to him anyway.

Gbnative - Who is going to be snapping to your son next year? The long snapper from last Fall was a senior. What are you hearing?

Gbnative - thanks - it is an important position, we need a good snapper to maximize special teams performance.
