Just announced today. Interesting decision. His teams were pretty good when he took over but have suffered the last couple of years. They made the final 8 just 3 seasons ago.
Augie at this point in time is not a contender for the NSIC title and the admin at Augustana didn't want to wait any longer for improvements. Interesting.

Kind of like what Sayler did with Ed. Interesting. Also can't fix all the problems in one season....

I feel like they should be contenders for that league year in and out with that beautiful facility on campus. Not a huge fan of celebrating someone losing their job. That being said this might be a good move for augie.

Augie definately has a very nice intimate stadium setting. It might not be the biggest but I would probably call it the best stadium to watch a football game in the state of South Dakota. The atmosphere during the Augie-USF game was kind of magical. It involved about 7K fans but it was an awsome game to see in person. The atmosphere there was much better than the atmosphere at Howard Wood Field. Not even close.

Lets hope that after the new arena is built at USD that it becomes the best basketball setting to watch a game in the state as well. I really think it will.

You going to help pay for it, or do you just expect others to do all of the heavy lifting? I bet you think you should get a free suite since you do live score updates on here and do hours of very difficult research?

So you're not going to contribute then?

I don't have the money to contribute so the answer is no. I contribute with well thought out objective analysis. ;D
