I saw via the Twittersphere from Yankton Press that both Jared Bartling and Steve Tecker will not be playing for the 'Yotes next year.
Tecker has bad hips and is going to have another surgery.
Bartling is looking to transfer. I would guess to DII.
I don't think either is a major blow to the program, but it does hurt team depth for next season.

Teckers's departure opened up a spot for the Iowa Western guy. Likely upgrade.
Bartling never played.
I am pretty numb to the changes, but feel bad for Tecker.
We will have more than sufficient depth next year.

I think both guys deserve some great credit for the time they have put in for the yotes. I remember one game Jared started and had 10 rebounds by half time. This is the type of thing he will take to another program and hopefully have a successful year. He deserves it. I wish Steve a speedy recovery and I know both of these guys are great guys off of the court. I wish them the best and I think you guys should do too.

Tecker's situation is unique and he would be still be contributing if he were physically able to perform. Wish him all the best in his recovery and in whatever post graduation career field he chooses.
Don't know much about Bartling but would gather he has performed to the best of his ability. If he wasn't giving his best he would have been dropped him from the team some time ago. Sometimes it doesn't work out as planned and the onus is more on the coaches doing the recruiting than the player who gave his best. I wish him well with his next team.

Read on Zimmer's Argus Leader live chat that Bartling will most likely end up at USF. If that's the case, it seems like a good fit for both. USF needs some size and I'd imagine Bartling wants to get more than a few minutes of game time in his senior year.

Looks like Bartling is going to be at Wayne State (Nebraska) next year instead.
