Ethics and Integrity questions from a fan base who's team literally faked injuries to slow our offense down all too recently. bold strategy cotton.

This may belong in a thread of its own but I believe USD has been at its best when we’ve had a dual threat QB. Jones, Shepard, Beschorner, Streveler….Without a serious run threat we seem to be just meh on offense. Anyone else feeling that? Camp isn't a statue, he had a 75 yd TD run last week for crying out loud. We just need our QB to be efficient in the run & pass game. Make the easy throws when they're presented. In the QB run game, get what you can and protect yourself. To me, it seems like Camp is often times searching for the big play even when it's not there, holding the ball, taking sacks, being reckless and turning the ball over. We don't need a gunslinger, get the ball out and let your skill guys make plays. Its not just on Carson, either, it's the play caller and design of the offense as well. Agreed- when Camp struggles it seems like its because he is too worried about what is happening in front of him with the O Line. if the O line holds up early, he does well because he is comfortable standing in the pocket. when he loses confidence in them his eyes move to the line instead of downfield and he seems to step into pressure more often then not when trying to evade it. that is not just a this year thing either IMO. when I watched the Montana game back there was 3-4 shotgun snaps in the 2nd/3rd quarters where it looked like he took the snap and immediately was looking at the line/defenders with just no chance for success throwing it.

I will say 6-5. Schedule is brutal and we have not shown that we can adjust to shortcomings in short yardage, penalties, discipline in the past.

Read in the Argus receiver piece on USD that Lovett is out for an unknown period of time with a hand injury. Really concerned about the WR group. we will need some guys with little to no playing time there to emerge in a big way. I see we did add a couple of transfers there, so we will see what we have there.

the counter argument is how good of a fan are you if you skip the 2nd half of the game to go outside and bs and eat some cheetos. I had never even heard of re entry until going to games in vermillion. if you're on the west side, there is barely time to get to the parking lot and back anyway.

Interesting that the NIL agent in the ESPN article is also Scheierman's agent. He is definitely after the money. I can envision some scenarios of this ending very poorly for the kids/players involved. Ultimately they should go where they want to go or best fit as a player for what’s best for their careers. Not what gets their agents the biggest cut. Hopefully the kids or parents speak up in those cases or are at least in the know

He will not be back. His agent is seeking a 7 figure up front NIL deal from a collective from the represented school, similar to what Nigel pack received at Miami. If he sticks to that, about 3-4 teams on this list that could make that happen. Might have to take a pay cut if he wants to play in the NBA. Kids that have declared for the draft with ncaa certified agents to retain eligibility yes. I actually don’t know who offers the upfront NIL collective payments- basically pay for play (no ad services, etc) but I’m pretty sure Kentucky/Arkansas are 2 that do from that mix.

I’m there too. Do you know how easy it would have been for anyone in his shoes to just walk away from the team or stop supporting your teammates. Reading the tea leaves from afar and from state friends, have to give kudos to the kid for that. I hope he does well wherever he ends up.

Coach Pete is one of the biggest advocates for mental health in D1 at the head coach level. Just saying.
