It sounds like Tevin is no longer playing football for the Yotes. He is attending JUCO at Seminole State College and intends to play basketball. He was arguably the most talented basketball player on the USD campus.

That's not good, we were already looking very thin at DB.

I'm guessing he found out pretty quickly that Vermillion wasn't for him, it is a bit of a culture shock for some who come from much more populated areas. I don't blame him for chasing his basketball dream elsewhere, transferring to a JUCO will have him instantly eligible for whichever program he wants to play for next year.

That is too bad. At least he gave the university a shot! Best of luck to Tevin.

Why was he even here if he ultimately wanted to play basketball? If he was, in fact, the most talented basketball player on campus, he surely was recruited by several programs closer to home to play basketball.

Teenagers don't exactly have the most developed minds. It's a very curious move to us, but every program loses some freshmen after their first year on campus. Maybe he didn't fit in well with his teammates, who knows.
