I agree 61, he is a talented kid and has the ability to make a HUGE impact at USD. Sounds like the coaching staff remains hopeful he will still sign.

Per Mick Garry's Twitter account, Van Ginkel signed his letter of intent to join the Yotes. In addition to being a great football player he appears to be an outstanding young man.

6'5" 215 and going to play LB according to MG. Any guesses who they want him to be like?

Great tradition with NW Iowa recruits, and this young man will have a great career at USD.
It would appear that a number of this year's recruits will be able to contribute early. Also, based on twitter, our strength and conditioning coaches are doing a great job preparing athletes for future campaigns.

Van Ginkle is also a good basketball player as he ripped the nets for a Rock Valley single game school record 46 points last night in their win over Central Lyon.
