Gotta love Tyler Starr sitting on the front page of CBSSports! He is poised to really turn some heads if he can keep this going into the Combine. Can't wait to see how he pans out in the NFL.

Exciting times for sure! Anyone seen his projected draft spot lately? Should go up after the combine!

Saw several comments on Twitter that he fits the mold of the Patriots linebackers. Former Yote Matt Chatham had a successful career with the Pats.

Naters gon' Nate, right jackjd? He certainly will and does. That phrase is now used by the Milwaukee paper and has appeared in other stories by NBA beat writers. But more important than anything about SDSU in this thread (my prior post was made because the other poster, not me, brought up SDSU), is the excellent shot Starr has to not only make a roster but to see lots of playing time on Sunday. I want to hear "Starr, From the U of South Dakota was the Missouri Valley player of the year" when I'm watching Sunday games this fall. Everyone benefits from Starr having a great career.

I want to hear "Starr, From the U of South Dakota was the Missouri Valley player of the year" when I'm watching Sunday games this fall. Everyone benefits from Starr having a great career. It's true, everyone benefits by association, just like NDSU's football success does help everyone else in a way. I very much dislike people bringing up State when they are completely irrelevant to the topic at hand. If we were having a pissing match over which program has a better presence in the pros it'd be warranted, but right now we (Yote fans at least) should just be celebrating that Tyler Starr is poised to make an impact in the NFL. I know whichever team he ends up on is the one I'm rooting for.
