I saw an AZ recruiting site where he was quoted as saying USD was going to let him play QB.

It was implied to me by a staff person on signing day that we were still working on a QB. I suspect this is the guy.
Also, maybe more importantly, Brophy is arguably the best High School program in Arizona.

Man, he is a hell of an athlete. It will be hard to keep him off defense, he seems to excel there. I suspect part of that is being a 2 year starter at safety. As a QB he looks sharp, throws with confidence and strength, and he definitely has the wheels to make something happen if nobody is open down field. His numbers aren't amazing, but the implication I got from a few articles was that Brophy was down on their talent at OL and RB last year.

Mountain Pointe had a nationally ranked team and won the Championship this past season over Chandler Hamilton. Hamilton has been the best program in the state for about the last ten years. I think the Jacks have gotten a couple of players out of there. USD should probably recruit harder in this area. The SD state champion big school would probably not get past the first round in Arizona's playoffs. |

Don't know much about the HS programs in AZ, don't really follow what the JACKS recruit, but I do know this, we just got an ATHLETE!
