We had a couple of interesting games with WIU. In the Dome they just wouldn't stop hitting 3s, every time we were coming back into the game they would just hit another 3. Out there though we managed to come away with a very close win that came right down to the end. Probably not a very easy one here.

Yotes were down by some big margins twice in the first half and have battled back. Down 5 to start the second half. Let's home WIU cools off from beyond the arc, if they do, they're looking pretty one-dimensional right now and it just may be the key to getting a win here.

Baskets coming way too easy for Ashley Luke right now. Very poor defense around the 10 minute mark for the Coyotes. Things are really sloppy on both sides of the ball. Need to take care of each possession to have a chance in this one down the stretch.

Horrible defense right now for the Coyotes. Ashley Luke is a great player, but we are making her look exceptionally good right now. Down 8 with 3 minutes to go.

3-3 on 3's in the final minute and a half. Can you say clutch? Well done lady yotes! Smart basketball by Seekamp on the last play. And Contreras, what more can you say? Off balance 3 with everything on the line and nailed it.

Couldn't we have tried a zone defense to change things up a little bit. Congrats to the Lady Coyotes,BUT, coaching left a little bit to be desired. We are going nowhere without a better defensive plan.

It's a great win, against a tough opponent. They shoot the threes so well, a zone defense would have been tough. Sometimes you just have to outlast & out hustle hot shooting teams. That was a sign of a great team, clutch, clutch performance by the Yotes.
I am actually very encouraged about the team going forward.
Harrington for three! Hemiller for three! And Contreras with three, and the Coyotes win!!!

Random observation on officiating so far in the SL Tourney yotes games.... I thought the officiating in our men's game, if anything, favored us. The officiating in our women's game vs. West Illinois was very much against us. Today was fair. And for anyone who happens to think it wasn't, it certainly wasn't 14 points unfair.
