Convenient of him to disregard the fact that USD has already accepted its QB prospect for 2015, Austin Simmons...
You're reaching. Take off the blinders.
So where is Austin Simmons from?

Kevin Earl, QB (got a chance to be best QB in MVFC next 2 years) Ryan Saeger, QB Bryan Woodward, QB Austin Simmons, QB* Chase Glazier, QB
A few good QBs at WR (Vander Maten, Meyer) at TE (Ramsey) at RB (Fisher)and LB (Van Ginkel)
So the news is, that a QB recruit "wasn't feeling it at USD", hmmmmmmm

I posted an earlier reply, but how does one respond to a guy who uses words like "butt-hurt?"

HOLY COW! Calvin Strong is a HUGE pickup. He is arguably the most accomplished RB in Nebraska history - and he is only a junior. He isn't the smartest cat, is a little undersized and was the unfortunate victim of Nebraska picking up a stud 4 star commit from Louisiana very early in the recruiting game. BUT his "misfortune" is our gain. Getting a kid like this into USD and under the watchful, grandfatherly eyes of Glenn is a major win for us. Hopefully he keeps his nose clean and is able the qualify, because this guy is the real deal, in my humble opinion.
He got into some trouble earlier this year, but hopefully that is behind him. It is also why other schools have passed on offering.

/photo/1 sports.yahoo.com/huskerlandpreps/football/recruiting/player-Calvin-Strong-143599/printHe is rated as the preseason #4 player in the state of Nebraska according to Rivals. The other top five players are currently committed to Nebraska (1), Wyoming (2), Nebraska (3) and Kansas St. (5). Not elite speed, but he has tremendous balance, vision and footwork. One of his many assistant coaches, supporters and mentors has been former Nebraska running back and Omaha media personality Damon Benning.

Not that we need running backs ....but Calvin Strong's verbal is HUGE. He is a bigger version of Štefan Logan. I just hope we can keep him. It's a looong ways to signing day.
