Maybe Oregon can name the score afterall. It is now on pace to be 70-12. It was a given in my mind that Oregon would score as many points as they damn well please, but our offense has given them fits. Sanders just had a long run down to their 30, I really want to see a Coyote TD before halftime!

I think a nice goal would be to try to force Oregon to have to play their starters the whole game at least most of it. TOUCHDOWN SOUTH DAKOTA!!! Gonna be 35-13. That really isn't all that bad. The Yotes get the ball to start the half. It could easily be 35-20 in the third quarter if things go remotely well in the next few gametime minutes.

Something to chew on: last year Oregon held Virginia, Tennessee, California, and Colorado all to 16 or less, while also scoring at least 55 on them all (and only one of those teams broke 10 points I. The first half). We are not an ACC, SEC, or PAC 12 team, but we are not doing any worse than they did against this team!

in the waning seconds Oregon scores. 14 seconds left in the 2Q. Oh well maybe by the time it's over it will be 80-40.

One things about this season that kind of sucks is that it really doesn't start until the 3rd week. Oregon is an auto loss and William Penn and auto win. The first competitive game will be at Montana or at least we hope it is competitive.

Solid job by the offense so far- better than I would have guessed. The Oregon offense is just too fast and skilled. Earl looks improved over last year and Sanders is a difference maker. Hope they keep their intensity up and finish strong.

I agree that the first two games aren't going to hold any surprises, but don't you even think about saying we won't be competitive against Montana. We had them beat last year, but gave up that heart breaking KO return to lose. Montana didn't look good at all against Wyoming today, and I am confident we'll be much improved this year. Our offense already looks like it may be one of the best in the conference, the only question is our pass defense...

The offensive line has also impressed me tonight. They have improved this past year. Good protection and no penalties

Good to see you here Mr. CF!
I suppose the Fargo fans think they would probably win this game.
Go Yotes!
As the state college fans would say, "Where gonna be OK".

Looks like Earl has an injured hand - the tv announcers were talking about it and showed a close up of his hand - definitely very swollen

My reaction to this game.
Offense:
We looked none the less impressive. The running game was great, the passing game was surprising, the offensive line was very impressive, just overall very good.
Grade: B
Defense: We looked good at times. Obviously Oregon is fast, and were going to beat us a lot but we did do some nice things overall.
Grade: D+
Special Teams: Overall this groups looks much more improved, a 47 yard field goal, keeping Oregon in check most of the time other than the punt return. I think this was a pretty impressive Special teams showing.
Grade: C+
OVERALL GRADE: B

Kevin Earl has done something to hurt his throwing hand on this drive, and it is showing as his throws aren't as accurate as they were in the first half. He has been rubbing that thumb in every huddle, and it's clearly bothering him. We managed to keep the drive going in spite of this, but the failed to convert on 4th down in Oregon territory. I really hope this problem does not persist with Earl, our options at backup aren't pretty

Earl has gone to the locker room - presumably to get an x ray - they showed how he injured it on tv - hit his hand on a helmet
