The time to make the switch at the top is now. USD although a year away from the Missouri Valley conference cannot afford another season of backtracking. USD has a year to adjust to a new head coach before getting into the Mo Valley. It will only be a backwards step if we continue status quo. We can begin the move forward now, instead of waiting another year and having the attendance and fan interest perhaps take another hit.
Typically a good head coach will make an impact fairly soon, definately within a couple of years. USD has the talent on this roster to be a good team. They just need the proper direction.
