What a great start for the Women's XC team. Coach Fitz is producing some solid results. Coaching is just as important, if not more, in XC as any other sport. Keeping your athletes in top shape without getting them injured or burned out is truly a science. Great job Coach:) I am looking forward to watching this team develop into one of best in the midwest. Already better than Nebraska, Iowa, ND, NDSU, and SDSU. Iowa State and Minnesota are tough but, don't be surprised if USD overtakes them in the next few years.

Way to finish the season strong ladies! A 7th place finish is fantastic and the best part is we get everyone back next year. I believe every runner ran a PR and the team finished ahead of the 10th place finish that was expected and ahead of B1G and Big12 schools as well as Missouri Valley teams. The men did a great job too. Coach Fitz is doing a great job leading this program. Way to go Yotes!

Some of the teams mentioned above the Lady Yotes beat: Kansas State, Oklahoma, Illinois, Northwestern, Wichita State, Iowa, Kansas, S. Illinois, Ill. State, SDSU, NDSU, Drake, UNI, Creighton, and Nebraska to name a few. The men knocked off Nebraska, Kansas State and Oral Roberts with a team that will return almost everyone too. Awesome work!
