You might want to check out the nationally recognized Shrine to Music Museum as well.

I see Vegas putting us as 28 point underdogs. Honestly expected higher.

31-28 coyotes! Last year Jordan Roberts rushed for over 100 yards on the bison. There's going to be a fire to the team this week. There's going to be a heavy dose of Roberts and Sanders led by the big fullback Drew Potter. With some timely passing from Earl. Go yotes!!

Guys you don't have to guess on the number of seats, count them. You will find approx 5300 on the grandstand side. They didn't lose 2000 on that side. When coyote landing was put in we lost about 200-300 seats. When the new red chairs were put in we lost 1 or 2 seats per row. I believe the old ugly brown, yellow and tan seats totaled about 6000. The old days had the old bleacher seats all the way down and total capacity was at least 10K maybe more. Back then both teams were on the same side. Then they moved the away team to the student side. After 1000s of Skittles and other things (including a few Bunyans minnows) being thrown at, on off helmets and down shoulder pads they moved USD to student side. They moved bleachers back from like 30 to 30 to move the team to student side hence loss of probably 800-1000 seats.
Why we over inflate attendance, I don't know and don't care. SDSU does the same thing and even bigger numbers from what I have been told.

A bit of thread drift, but I just encouraged some of my Bison friends to check out the Over Museum. I was there once, and it was better than I expected, particularly the gun collection. Have they ever said what the estimated value of that gun collection is? I was very impressed by it. As long as you've drifted a bit...see the National Music Museum on USD's campus. It has a world-class collection of instruments, many are the only example of their kind in the world. added: duplicates Yote53's post but it's worth saying: the National Music Museum (aka Shrine to Music) is the arguably the best in the nation, maybe the world.

SDSU does the same thing and even bigger numbers from what I have been told. Not true. SDSU's numbers are taken from actual head counts, i.e. people going through the turnstiles & tickets electronically counted. Look at SDSU's ticket revenue.* Why, usdlaw, take a shot at SDSU in an NDSU thread? Back on topic: I'm all for the Yotes getting the upset. NDSU is a fine football team but they're not invincible. *I take no position on USD's attendance figures...I have no way of knowing if they're accurate and, similarly, I have no basis to criticize.

If everyone on here is concerned about the attendance and want to know the truth, contact the ticket office. The main guy might give you the seating capacity but I would bet anyone on here it's not more than 8,000 total seats including coyote landing! Let's go coyotes! Beat the bison!

Check out the Missouri River! You could do some ice fishing on it, say in January.
Or take about an hour out of your schedule to visit the river in the fall. Take the bridge over to the Nebraska side just a few miles south of town and stop at the overlook on the bluffs. Beautiful - one of the few places you'll see the wild and scenic Missouri River.

Actually had a break down in Vermillion, and a nice guy stopped and helped me get it going again.

Let me ask another slight thread drift question....
I don't know the history of this board, but I would guess you would get more traffic if folks did not have to register to simply see the board.
Just something I've been wondering about, as this thread is pretty dead considering this is huge game for USD with a chance for a major home upset.

We require registation for the board because of the amount of spam we were getting. Also we want people to have to register to post and not just come in and throw bombs anonymously.
Registration is free.

He means not register to see the board. Yes, to post you should have to register, but to view threads you should be able to be a guest.
