That last line spelled the coaching situation out plain as day. Joe isn't "whacking" anyone while he is coach, and he clearly is coming back next year. He will sit down with the coaches and discuss how thinks can before differently, specifically pass defense, but Joe will not be initiating any personnel change.
I just have the hardest time believing that keeping the staff in tact will result in anything but another long embarrassing season.

At this point in time David Herbster is not doing his job. If Joe Glenn will not make changes it's Herbster's job to demand them and if Glenn refuses it's time to move on. So far the failures are on Glenn, but if Herbster continues to allow no changes the failures then are on him.
It's kind of ironic that Herbster was at UNO when things were crumbling around him with financial improprieties. He may or may not have been part of the problem but he didn't do anything to stop them either. This is different but also similar. Things are crumbling around him and he is doing nothing to stop it. It makes you wonder how he is handling other duties of his job. He took over for Sayler and the facility improvement projects kept getting delayed until finally the shovels hit the dirt. I really wonder how Sayler would handle this situation with Glenn. Would he not step in and demand immediate changes.

You're out of bounds making the insinuation David had anything to do with financial improprieties at UNO. You have no clue what happened there, and for you to make a claim that Herbster was a part of it. That is an attack on his integrity. David Herbster has more integrity on his worst day than you do on your best.
How you can conjure a comparison like you did shows how pathetic of a fan you are. Since you seem to know what demands Herbster should make I'm sure you'll be more than happy to share them with the board. Every intricate detail. Tell me what President Abbott feels about this situation because ultimately that affects what decision the AD has to make. I'm sure you've talked to him at the last game. Oh no, you didn't go to any games, I forgot. You probably talked to him at a fund raiser. Oh yeah, I forgot you don't give anything to the program. Just where did you get all your information?
Quite frankly you crossed the line with me. If it were me, I'd ban your ass but I'll leave that up to the other mods. Just know I detest you with every fiber in my body. You're a bad fan. Horrific.

And regarding what Sayler would do? Who gives a $hit? He left us. Herbster stayed. And for the record, I like David Sayler a lot. He's a great guy, but he's no longer a Coyote.

I wouldn't be surprised to still see some changes to the coaching staff. Glenn doesn't strike me as the type to openly throw any of his staff to the wolves - especially to the media when asked specifically about their future. I would guess if he wanted changes he would let them know privately to find another job as soon as possible. Just a guess.
I do understand why some people would be upset if changes don't happen. If given the choice, I would rather get that reaction than indifference. Three years of getting trounced has certainly not been any fun. The thought of another year of that would be tough to sit through. Wish there was an easy answer.

I'm extremely upset about the insinuation of impropriety.

I didn't say Herbster did anything wrong as I specifically stated that he may or may not have had anything to do with it. That is not insinuating anything. Herbester was on the UNO athletic staff when those things happened so that is enough probably cause to at least question some things. If anyone needs a cool down or a ban it is Yoteforever as you My friend are having a much more difficult time dealing with this football season than I am. I expected failures this year and you are surprised by it. That is one big difference between me and you. I am just laughing this season off as another long list of failures from the football program. Learn to deal with it Yoteforever. If I didn't have merit with my comments you wouldn't be so upset about them. I just say what many others think but are affraid to air.

What the hell does that even mean? Seriously, do you think he is going to come out and say in a Q and A article in the paper, oh yes by the way I fired this guy and this guy and this guy? Then he probably said I hope coyotefan is reading this and will become my assistant head coach because he knows everything there is to know about everything. Get real!

If Joe has come out and explicitly stated that he isn't firing anyone at USD why would one doubt it? It's not like he dodged a question and we are inferring that this is the situation. Joe tells it like it is, so you can bet that he is bringing back anyone who doesn't leave on their own (remember Petrino tried to get the HC gig at Mary last year)
