So what are the thoughts on this one? Hopefully we can come out and be a little more aggressive on the boards. I really like the way Gruis is playing for a true freshman.

Marquette isn't a very tall team, like USD. Their tallest player is 6-11, but he has only played 10 minutes a game so far. This is a team full of athletic wings and fast guards from what I know, and that's what Marquette has typically been under Tom Creen's recruits and even now under the new coach who has done a good job.
USD will have to hit its threes to stay in this game, because when Marquette is on, they are ON. This will be a shoot and slash type of game I think.
Granted I could be way off this early in the year since I haven't seen Marquette play yet.

10:00 left
South Dakota 15 Marquette 21
USD is playing better over the past few minutes. Some nice open threes and a couple have dropped. Westbrook looks a bit better than against Mines. Marquette is showing athletisism as they had a nice driving dunk.

Under 8:00 Timeout
South Dakota 21 Marquette 26
USD is hanging around. Marquette had it up to 8 but USD keeps hitting threes. Jordan Boots is dialing up from downtown. He has 9. Krogman and Thomas both have a three as well. USD started out a bit intimidated but since about the 15:00 mark they have settled down and are playing more confidently. They are doing a good job of offsetting the size advantage that Marquette has. Not a bad so far.
A Marquette fan just hit a half court shot and won a new car.

Under 4:00 timeout
South Dakota 23 Marquette 35
The shots aren't falling lately. Marquette's athletisism is showing. They have been getting out on the break and getting some easy baskets. The Yotes are really battling on the boards but not always coming up with the ball. Eventhough the score is up to 12 I still feel as if the Yotes are playing well. Marquette is also getting alot of points from the free throw line.

Right now it's frustrating trying to watch on Channel Surfing. The video is having to recalibrate about every 3 or 4 seconds and takes another couple of second to get live video again. I imagine this video may be as much as 5-10 minutes behind the actual live game.

You're right, it really is. Yeah it is way behind right now.

Halftime
South Dakota 29 Marquette 43
The internet video is over 2:00 behind in game time. The Yotes have just not been able to score in the last 8:00 very well. They have been playing well otherwise.

They are playing tough. They are giving up some big time height and size difference, but are fighting for everything.

No kidding. For awhile, channel surfing was way ahead of swain, then they were running ads and showing the band and what not for awhile and got way behind. Not sure what they were doing.

USD is now down 61-38
It's really gotten away. Nearly halfway through the second half.
