Good game by the Coyote women. I was holding back on posting until I heard what Knudson's injury was, but oh well.
Dayton is a team that has four starters back from last year's NCAA second-round team, so they are pretty good. USD stuck with them for much of the game, but Dayton pulled away. I think that is definitely a good sign for a Coyote women's team that didn't play with Hegge again because of her wrist/arm issue. Plus they lost Knudson too to an injury. Hopefully nothing serious.
Another team game tomorrow against Wisconsin-Milwaukee, which I am guessing will be another tough game. Let's see what USD has tomorrow.

Yeah sounded like they hung in there tough today. How well they are playing without Hegge is a good sign too. Last year they depended on her way too much.

Seems like the offense is becoming more well rounded, but hard to tell with an opponent like this. It was nice to see January play well. Tempestt Wilson was definitely a good pick-up, along with Yackley of course.

Yeah it really seems like they are a little more well rounded. Last year everyone looked for Hegge to step up every game. It is nice to see others step up and play well.

Yeah exactly. There are a lot of new components, so the team does need time to gel just like the men's team. As long as they have it figured out by conference play right.

Yeah they do need time to gel. I think they will do just fine, especially if they get Hegge back soon.

Even though Hegge is up and down offensively at times, she is VERY solid defensively. She is a double-double consistently, prolly won't be with Boss down there to steal a couple to few rebounds, but the blocks are always there to. Is there a better blocking combo than Boss and Hegge? I just thought of how crazy good that is.

Yeah you are right. She still gets the job done at least on one end if not both. Yeah they should work well together hopefully.
