I don't know about the Coyotes but this will be the game of the year for the Jacks. It will be their superbowl. They are likely not happy about losing two in a row to the Yotes. If the Coyotes escape Frost Arena with a win for the first time since the 1980's it will take a great effort. If it happens the Coyotes will make a mockery of the rest of the league and run away with the league title. The Coyotes can afford a loss here but hopefully they will find a way to win in a near impossible place to win for Summit League teams.
tip is at 4:30PM on Saturday. I am unfortunately going to have to take SDSU 85-73.

SDSU at Frost is a tough setting no doubt, but just a typical solid Yotes effort and you can make room for another banner in the new arena! Go get'em Yotes!!

Apparently Stevens isn't playing today. That is too bad for the Yotes as she was atrocious last game in the Dome. I see the Jacks taking this one in their Super Bowl.

This game is the Jacks super bowl? How do you figure this? Is it because the Yotes are in 1st and beat the Jacks in Vermillion already this season? If this is Jacks "Super Bowl" it is the Yotes "Super Bowl" as well.

If this is Jacks "Super Bowl" it is the Yotes "Super Bowl" as well. This game is not as important for the Coyotes and I think that will show this afternoon in the game. The Coyotes will play well just not as well as the more needy SDSU team. They still have two home games as a buffer to still win the conference outright. The Jacks need this game worse to prove that they can still hang with the Yotes. The Yotes have surpassed the Jacks in the Summit and now rule supreme. Even if the Jacks win the Coyotes by winning out would still have the better year and be crowned conference champs. If the Jacks would have taken care of business against the lowely Pioneers it would be a different tune for this game but too bad for SDSU they just couldn't win that game. The time has come to an end for SDSU supremecy in the Summit League. They had their time at the top and now it's time for new blood. The baton has been passed to the Coyotes and they are proving it game in and game out. For those Jacks fans that think last year was an abberation it really was not. Two years ago USD led for much of the game in the conference tourney final but SDSU was able to come out on top in the end. The Coyotes were arguably the better team in that game but could not finish in the end. With Amy Williams at the helm the Coyotes are not going anywhere. The biggest hurdle for the Coyotes going forward is to keep Williams in Vermillion which will be a bigger hurdle than over coming SDSU.

I wish I was able to make the game along with all the other games but it just isn't in the cards. I will be watching online instead.

So the Yotes are supreme because they are in the hunt of winning a regular season championship and made the NCAA tournament 1 out of 2 years being eligible? Put down the kool-aide. The Yotes are having a good season but to say they are the class of the Summit now is absurd. Do it as long as SDSU has, then we can talk.
I would like to remind you USD only beat SDSU by 4 points in D-Dome and the Jacks didn't even have Megan Waytashek, Gabby Boever, or Megan Stuart (3 Seniors). The Jacks will win today by double digits. This is still SDSU's league.

Here is your link to make your point. sdsufans.com/board/forum.phpThis is a Coyote board and the standings sing a different tune than your claim that this is still SDSU's league. I guess if settling for second is still considered to be their league than more power to you in that train of thought. It WAS SDSU's league but obviously is no longer. If the Jacks win by 30 today who cares because you are still finishing in second behind the new power of the Summit. This will be SDSU's superbowl as I said earlier. They will likely win today. The Coyotes really didn't play well in the first game around but still ended up winning. They actually don't put as much emphasis on this game today as the Jacks will. They take care of business in their other games just as much as they will today. The Jacks failed against NDSU and Denver so obviously are not able to get up for the other games as much as the Coyotes are. It doesn't really matter though because the Yotes are the more talented and better team no matter what your claim is. The standing are the only proof you need. They actually play the games on the court not in the hype meter or in the Sioux Falls newspaper.

Making the tournament years in a row with no competition in a bunch of home games isn't as impressive a you make it out to be.

There is a bit of an identity crisis going on today. One team is the "was" and one team is the "is". The sooner we all learn that the better off we will all be.

Tia Hemiller is warming up on the floor pre game. It would be nice if she could play some today. The biggest key will be just to get her back to near full strength by the tourney.

15-11 SDSU early on. A questionable offensive foul on contreras that should have been a basket and one.

23-21 Jacks. Midco is saying that the conference championship is on the line. It might be for the Coyotes but not for the Jacks. They do not hold their own destiny in their own hands.

32-23 Jacks with a couple of minutes to go in the first half. The Jacks are starting to warm up from the field and the Yotes are taking some bad shots and missing badly.
