23-21 Jacks. Midco is saying that the conference championship is on the line. It might be for the Coyotes but not for the Jacks. They do not hold their own destiny in their own hands. I love this team and the Yotes as much as the next fan here on the forums. I read the board frequently but today I registered just to say this. It is clear you are trying to bait the Jacks fans. Please stop. No one needs the hoards or Blue and Yellow to come here and blow up our discussion. Thanks.

34-26 Jacks at half. The Coyotes truly played awful during the last several minutes of the half. They barely scored in the last 7 minutes. When the offense is not clicking the team just isn't a lock down defensive team to prevent the other team from scoring. The Coyotes are going to need better ball movement in the second half and have to stop turning over the ball.

The championship is not on the line today so I don't know what your problem is with that comment.

15:59 to go and it's 43-30 SDSU. The Yotes just are not scoring well today. They have no rythme offensively but alot of the credit goes to the Jacks defense. There is still time but we need to seniors to lead the Coyotes back in this game.

50-41 Jacks at the under 12. The Coyotes are getting hustled on the boards today. They honestly just don't want the game that badly from what I am seeing. No desperation to their game.

56-52 Jacks, the Yotes are on a charge. They are a super powered offensive team so they are never out of a game. It's gonna come down to the defense. 9:05 to go.

This has been a garbage game. Yotes playing well below their potential and an officiating crew that demands to be noticed.

A win would have sure been nice to really solidify the top spot in the conference race but all is certainly not lost. The Coyotes have been playing all year just for the senario that developed today. A couple of wins at home and everything will be just fine and that is thanks to the consistency this team has displayed all year. The Coyotes won alot of games to put themselves in the position they are currently in and that is to simply be able to win at home to win the conference title. At the beginning of the season if you were to tell me that the Yotes would be conference champions by simply winning their last two at home I certainly would have taken that. A conference tourney championship followed by a regular season championship would certainly be something that is great to be forced to comprehend. Hopefully the Yotes will soon break the Frost Arena hex that has followed them along since the 1990 season which was the last time they won there. If things continue to go down the same path where things are going now that will likely happen sometime in the next few coming years.
I would have liked to see a better overall effort in the game today. The Coyotes just were not hustling enough and not quite stiff enough on the defensive end. When the shots are not falling the Yotes need to be able to rely on that defense. Defense has been a staple for the program in all the Chad Lavin years and into the Ryun Williams years. Amy Williams preaches defense but maybe this team is simply not that kind of team this year.
Over the last couple of seasons in the two head to head games against SDSU in the Summit tourney the Yotes have been the better overall team collectively in those two games. That is something that they can really take to heart if another rematch occurs.

When the Yotes cut the lead to 4, they turned the ball over on 3 straight possessions. That is not going to win you any ball games. I thought that if the Yotes could have scored and those possessions and taken the lead, they would have won the game. Overall, it was just not a good game and even worse to watch. There was never any flow to the game when the whistles were stopping play every 12 seconds. The refs sucked for both sides and there was no consistency as to what was a foul and what was not.

The Lady Yotes gave up way too many offensive rebounds early in the game. Did great to fight back after a several minute stretch of not scoring in the first half. As mentioned above need to tighten up the defense. State loves to drive the basket. That's how Miller and several other state players get 80% of their points plus draw fouls. Everything is correctable. Finish out strong Lady Yotes in the Dome!!

I guess this is where it comes down to what side you are looking at it from. In order for the lead to get cut to 4 USD forced 2 turnovers at mid court by SDSU's true freshman Alexander. They not only stole the ball but they had break away layups. SDSU had to call a timeout and get somebody else in there that wasn't going to give away points. That is when I was thinking that if Gabby Boever was healthy she would be in there. She started at PG the last 2 years but she is out for the year so she isn't a option. So they had to bring in either Cloe or Miller but since USD was getting back in the game, you have to bring in your starter. The only thing I have to give the refs is they were consistent. The crew isn't one of the better ones in the league but I guess somebody must think they are good to assign them that game.

I k now that Miller is a true freeman too but she is more prepared to play DI ball than Alexander is right now.

Waytashek's first 2 fouls came on over the back calls trying to get the offensive board. They will need to play like that again if/when they play the Yotes if SDSU is going to win that game.
