I want to post about the Women's T&F effort at the League Championships also, 2nd place finish with some strong individual efforts. Looking forward to the outdoor season and also seeing how they stack up regionally and nationally.
And of course finishing in front of State college and adding a point in the Corn Showdown, good work all around!

Congratulations to Teivaskie Lewin on being named to a second consecutive Summit League male athlete of the month award!! Just to name a few of his other accomplishments he's set the league record for the 60M hurtles and qualified for the 60M hurtles at the NCAA indoor championships on March 13th. He is the first male USD athlete to qualify for the championships. Good luck Teivaskie!!!

Two consecutive Summit Athlete of the Month awards to go with a conference title, conference championship MVP honors, and a birth at the NCAA Championships? This guy is doing some incredible things, and has plenty of time to earn even more accolades. Love it. Go Yotes!

I keep catching snippets about the athletes cutting down on their school records and such. It is sounding like we are in for another incredible outdoor season.

I read those articles in the Argus as well. The track and field program from top to bottom and from men and women is unbelievable. Those are points in the South Dakota showdown series that can be relied upon.

Lewin may have gone for the four and five-peat on SL athlete of the month, but he is redshirting this outdoor season. Three in a row is an incredible feat.

Just went and looked at the SD Showdown website. If our guys and gals can both get it done next week we can finally bring one home to Vermillion.

Well, the Yotes didn't win, but they had some laudable individual performances. I, like many others, follow the news articles and recognize the many achievements of the competing athletes. These folks are going to do very well after they graduate!
Expectations are high for this program. Go South Dakota !!
