I guess there was some substance to the comments that I made after the Summit tourney about God hating the Coyotes because this really stinks. Losing two good coaches in a years time. When it comes to a coach asking for the players to be all-in I guess maybe they should be all in themselves before expecting it from the players he coaches. Now we have to start worrying about transfers following him to Drake. This is not like the women's program where it is much easier to build a successful team. Every school put's their attention into their basketball program so it's a tough road to hoe when it comes to building a successful program.
I think we need to be consistent here. I personally think everyone needs to take care of themselves and their family first and foremost so I can understand someone wanting to better themselves in their career. For those that were beyond PO's that Van Ginkle transferring out should be every bit as angry about this as there really isn't that much of a difference. I am not angry at Smith but I am disappointed just because of how great he made it seem at USD.
All these coaches like Amy and now Craig talk so highly about USD but the first chance they get they certainly don't mind leaving at the first opportunity.

Anyone want to take a guess as to what Smith's contract is? Drake job was rumored to pay $350,000 and Smith is listed at $195,700 on the government website. Surely he tops Nielson's $255,000 contract.
It's gotta be pretty easy to get yourself a pay raise when you've got a conference title and someone else offering you an 80% raise.
