I just want to take a moment to thank the entire athletic department staff for a really fun day in Vermillion. A special thanks to Dave Williams, Erica Schilling, Jon Schemmel, and Chris Kassin for working their tails off to run a really successful and fun tournament.
Here's the thing I'm most impressed with right now. It doesn't matter what sport you are talking about, our entire coaching staff has to be one of the most impressive lineups of high quality and good charecter people compared to any other school on the country regardless of size. Some of the coaches played with boosters and friends of the athletic department, but the ones that didn't were sprinkled at various hole locations all over the course meeting people and promoting their sports. They are the nicest and most respectful group of coaches anywhere. I am super impressed. All sports were on hand and did a fantastic job of representing their program. I even met the golf coach, soccer coach, and swimming and diving coach. Great people.
We are truly blessed to have the type of people we have right now at the helm of their receptive sports. Even the cheer leaders were on hand to help run various parts of the tournament. I'm impressed. Thank you to all the coaches that make USD special. And to Dave W., Chris, Jon, and Erica....thank you. Job well done. And if I am leading anyone out, I apologize.
Lastly, Kirk Hogen and Mark Clark and Rusty.....the course is awesome and all the workers know what the hell they are doing. Just a great day. Mark this tournament down on your calender for next year, it's a dandy.

Agree with everything said. With events like this and the April Auction we are proving we belong in D-1. We do have great people who are great coaches and because of that they can recruit not only good athletes, but outstanding students who represent this University in a very positive way. It's a great Century to be a Coyote!
