Right with you Mr. CF. Who was that? And where is The Old Ball Coach (OBC) when you need him. I would love to hear his opinion right now. I can't comment anymore. I am done until improvements are made. I have nothing to add other than it is unfortunate, embarrassing, and unacceptable. I will continue to root for the team but as far as I am concerned, my opinion is the same as it was after last season. The verdict is in. Thank you very much Mr. OBC for your honesty. I too will continue to root for the team. I have for over 50 years but this is just a joke. It is just terrible being an alum right now. I wear my USD gear around Phoenix always praying that I don't run in to anyone from the conference especially any other Dakota fans. That includes UND. I am sorry to be so sarcastic with some of my comments but I have to or I will go crazy. I am about ready to cry but I am too old.

The Coyotes are playing like they aren't really even trying to comeback. They are still running up the middle and moving with no urgency.

The eternal optimists (and many of them don't use logic because their bodies are too full of red cool-aid) will either not show up all together because of having their feelings hurt or will come in here for the purpose of simply critisizing what I post. It doesn't matter what I really say or the content of it because I am the devil and run around with a red pitchfork. You have no idea why I haven't posted - so you are incorrect about me. From my perspective I don't enjoy how many on this bard make their posts about themselves. I love you Mr. OBC. It is just so dang heartbreaking to see this going on. It makes me sick to my stomach to be so far behind the other State colleges.

The Coyotes scored a touchdown but they wasted so much of the clock with showing no urgency that they probably just eliminated their chances to actually win the game.

Just checked to see if there are anyone else on here. Will be interesting to see if there is enough guts to make any comments other than the predictable attacks on The Infamous, The One and Only, SD4ever and CoyoteFan.. I can't wait to be assaulted by the usual cast of characters from our friends to the north and the east. You know, the ones who just love to rip on pathetic old poor South Dakota. You know they are just jealous that they are not near as creative as I am. They also can't take any of their own medicine but then again they have better football teams. But not better Universities!
Well no Thermal Nuclear Offense today or Red Missile Defense. No Mushroom Clouds over Macomb (or whatever it is). I will probably have to go into hiding now but I till love the Yotes. Unfortunately the truth hurts. A lot right now.
Go South Dakota, Go Coyotes, Go Yotes! Forever!

The Coyotes have now lost 12 straight MVFC games by double digits. The overall conference losing streak has now gone to 14 in a row. Last year the Coyotes started the MVFC season playing Southern Illinois and UNI and lost those games by a total of 68-26. This year they started with Youngstown State and Western Illinois and lost by a total of 71-24. Last year the scores against YSU and WIU totaled 76-46. With those numbers in mind this Coyote team has not only NOT improved but they have actually slightly regressed to this point in the season from a team that went 0-8 in the MVFC and lost every game by double digits in 2014. How is it even possible to regress from last year. The longer this regime has been in place the further the Coyotes continue to sink. .....and who is now ready for a change? The Coyotes are on the titanic and it's time to jump off.

We all know the issues. We all know this isn't working. I said it last week, this is just a replay of last year. The problem I see is a couple of you guys are revelling in this demise because you just want to be right.

And I apologize if I have just 'cluttered' up the board today for all of the x and o geniuses out there. If you were at the game good for you. If not, where were you? Or maybe you did not watch or even listen? Was it truly even close?
I can't even begin to imagine when the Yotes will be respectable again let alone good. I need to head to the shower.

I could not be much more heartbroken than I am right now about this team. Every Saturday it just seems to be the same old thing so excuse me if I am just a little fed up. So I apologize if I am not a 'good' Coyote fan!

Some additional stats
Total yards South Dakota 345, Western Illinois 514 (I thought it would even be higher)
Rushing 226-148 for Western Illinois Passing 288-197 for Western Illinois
Turnovers were 1-1 so the Yotes really didn't shoot themselves in the foot and they had 6 penalties which isn't horrible either. What is interesting is that most of the factors in the game USD actually did better today than they did last week. The defense was so much less effective that it carried that much more weight and trumped all the positive factors of improvement between last week and this week.

Well, I can't take it anymore. No calling out coaches personally, they are all to blame. Coach Joe, you did the best you could under the circumstances, thank you for your effort, you'll be remembered for being one of the greatest Coyotes ever, that's why your in our hall of fame. We are all scratching our heads as to what needs to be done. Everyone here bleeds Coyote Red, no doubt about that. It's just time to start all over again. It's going to take time, it's going to take patience, and it's going to take a dedicated effort from this university to turn this thing around. All of our other programs at the U are pretty successful, so we know it can be done. I don't post or react much on this board, I wish everyone here the best! GO YOTES FOEVER!!!

We all know the issues. We all know this isn't working. I said it last week, this is just a replay of last year. The problem I see is a couple of you guys are revelling in this demise because you just want to be right. My emotions aren't really tied to the games week by week. I have basically already prepared myself for this kind of a year so the disappointment is very minimal on a game by game basis. My huge disappointment was Herbster allowing this administration to remain in place unchanged after the season last year. It's one thing to allow Glenn to stay on but to allow it without anything changing was really confusing to me. Exactly what could anyone expect from this year after Herbster made the decision to do nothing. The foundation was already crumbled before the season even started. The ship was filling up with water and no one was doing anything to scoop any of it out. Now the boat continues to sink and it appears the captain will just go down with the ship with his hands firmly on the wheel. The only thing I really care about this year is that a thorough housecleaning gets done in the off season. We are already at least one season too late with that but don't compound it and make the same mistake this November. I personally don't care whether this team finishes 0-8 in the MVFC or 2-6. What is the real difference because either way it's not a contending team. The program's antidote is locked away in the medicine cabinet and I hope Herbster gets out the key, gets that needle and firmly plants it into the butt of the USD football program.

Great post Mr. coyote61! I am guessing you go way back with the Yotes. I predicted quite accurately to Mr. CF when the Meierkort era was getting shaky that Joe Glenn would be the next coach of the team. He can vouch for that. You can imagine how just devastated I am about how things have worked out. I love the guy! I came to tears at the Friday Dakota Day pep rally outside that beautiful new student union building when Joe read that funny poem he wrote about YSU. It has to be killing him. We have to put it in perspective compared to more important things in life but it is just hard. Sports are fun and it is fun to win. It is tough to lose. I still will always love USD.
