UNI is 2-4, 0-3 in the conference and still ranked? How is that possible?
SDSU NDSU ISUr USD YSU
A win this weekend and we are ranked. A loss by UNI to the Jacks comined with a Yote win and we are 2 games up on them in the conference. Who would have ever thought that at the start of this season?
We need this game badly.

Is it possible we started out of the gate against two of the best teams in the conference? I think we all knew YSU would be good, the key was getting them at home and we underperformed that day. I thought we would be right there with Western, turns out WIU is looking like a pretty dang good team this season.

I don't understand for a second how UNI is still ranked with that kind of a record. They have a good win against EWU, but that's it. We have a better resume than they do. Ranked high in the preseason so they get to stay in the polls longer. Thankfully the rankings mean nothing but I still wish they didn't happen until like Week 6.

A loss by UNI to the Jacks combined with a Yote win and we are 2 games up on them in the conference. Who would have ever thought that at the start of this season? We need this game badly. If UNI loses this week, they can say good-bye to the playoffs (I think the Jacks win by a couple scores after last years let down on Hobo Day). USD should be fine this week. MSU is terrible. All you have to worry about is a let down game after one the biggest wins in USD's D1 football history.

I didn't realize it was Hobo Days in Brookings for this game. Can be good or bad. Events like that can distract the team or focus them. I think the Jacks will be focused and take care of UNI.

UNI over SDSU - Must win game for UNI, I bet they show up and win it Indiana State over NDSU - Got a feeling NDSU is coming on some hard times after being exposed by USD and losing Wentz Illinois State over Western Illinois - Can't believe these are the lone unbeaten MVFC teams. A win for WIU would be monumental, but I doubt they pull it off USD over Missouri State - Missouri State is having an atrocious season. My head will explode if we don't win. YSU over Southern Illinois - No real reasoning behind this pick, rather even matchup in my mind

UNI (2-4) @ SDSU (5-1) - I am taking the Jacks in a close one 34-28.
NDSU (4-2) @ Indiana St. (4-2) - NDSU is either just not that good or they will really have a bounceback. Gotta go Bison 38-10
W. Illinois (4-2) @ Illinois St. (5-1) - This game is not the gimme that it looked like pre-season but gotta go Red Birds at home 40-24
Missouri St. (1-5) @ USD (3-3) - At one time this looked like the battle for last but MSU is definately the basement of the Valley this year. Going with the Yotes 47-14. Regardless of what happened in Fargo this game was a win all along. Now it should be a laugher.
YSU (3-3) @ S. Illinois (2-4) - Toughest game to pick of the week. YSU has definately lost what momentum they had leaving Vermillion. Either they win this one or Youngstown is pretty much done this year. I will go with Southern Illinois 23-20.

8:49 to go in the second quarter and the Bison lead the Sycamores 7-0.
