The USD women dropped a 79-70 game to Creighton at home. The Bluejays are 4-2, and USD had the lead at least once in the second half if I remember correctly. This was a pretty tight game.
Creighton hit nine three-pointers, which kind of hurt USD in this one. Plus the Bluejays shot 48 percent over all and had six key steals.
The positives, USD shot 46 percent in the game, and yes, there were some shots that could've fallen that would've helped, but 46 percent is still good. USD also won the rebounding battle too.
Hegge scored 21 points, which was huge. She is looking more like a scorer this year, which would be HUGE for this team. Roche has become a major threat from three point range. She hit three tonight and had 17 points. She is definitely developing well. Stacia Robertson scored a career-high 12 points.
A late run by Creighton is what put this game away, but USD never gave up even though they were down by double digits.
