Good half. Let's put another one together and really make a statement.

The Coyotes are stepping on the throat. It's 42-18 Coyotes. Keep it up ladies.

50-30 Coyotes but a bad last few seconds. FAU had a three pointer made and a foul. They miss the free thrown and get a put back for a 5 point play. Then they get a steal and get a quick 3. 8 points in a few seconds. Timeout Amy Williams and the Yotes. That is why having such a big lead is important.

The Coyotes lead was reduced to 15 in almost no time after leading by 28 earlier. The Coyotes have a big 2:00 stretch before the end of the third quarter.
End of 3rd
Coyotes 61-40

76-53 is the final. Very good effort by the Coyotes as their huge buffer that they created was enough to hold on. The Owls did get it to 15 on multiple occasions but were just not able to shoot consistently enough from outside to seriously threaten the Coyotes. The Summit champs are just too good for a team like Florida Atlantic to deal with.

Great tournament by the Lady Yotes!! Beating both southeastern teams by 20+ to win the championship! Florida Atlantic had been 4-0 until today.

The updated Women's RPI as of Saturday afternoon has the Coyotes RPI at 110 in the nation which is the highest in the Summit League. The RPI is basically calculated using a teams record, their opponents record, and their opponents opponents record. I have no idea how the Yotes are as high as they are but they have obviously been playing teams that are winning.

RPI isn't worth discussing a whole six games into the season. Play a few conference games and this can begin to be a good metric.

Not sure where you get your "highest in the Summit". SDSU have 2 losses, the # 4 and 5 teams in RPI. Both teams SDSU were playing with to the end.

I do know there is more than one SDSU, but how can both be at #53, etc. etc. ?

As noted by others: the early computer rankings don't tell us a lot...they gain some meaning as the season unfolds.

Pardon me jd, you didn't get my attempt at humor in jacksfan29's post: "SDSU are" and later in the same post "SDSU were". The wording implies SDSU is a p-l-u-r-a-l (more than one).
Guess in the future I shouldn't be so subtle. On second thought the whole USD/USD thing could be just as confusing to some (we won't go down that road).
