Northern Iowa

Didn't get a chance to listen to this one much, but it seems like USD fell behind early in the loss to Northern Iowa and just couldn't quite catch up. They did pull close a couple of times but UNI, an NCAA tournament team last year and now 5-3 on the year, pulled away for the 73-64 win.

USD's defense did hold UNI to under 40 percent shooting, but the Coyotes turned it over 15 times to UNI's 8 times. Plus UNI got to the line more, hoisted up 9 more shots and hit three more three-pointers than USD. Plus UNI won the rebounding battle 41 to 34. UNI is a good team still it seems.

One very bright spot is the fact that Hegge scored a career-high 32 points last night. She has definitely turned into a scorer this year.

UNI beat SDSU 81 - 60 this afternoon.

Thanks GoYotes. Yeah I just saw that too. The game was tied at 46-46 at one point too and UNI just went with it. I think SDSU is down this year, but UNI seems to be a pretty good team again this year, so the USD loss to them doesn't look that bad at all.
