Not really. Go over to the SDSU board and see what they are saying about this hire. They would love it if Wes gets the head job. They are hoping for it. What does that tell you?
For the record, we're all Coyotes through and through. Allegiance has nothing to do with this.

. I did not vote for Wes but these are crap comments directed at a guy who is a Coyote through and through No one hates Wes. People just realize he isn't head coaching material, especially for a Missouri Valley program. He just doesn't have a strong enough resume nor the success as offensive coordinator that one would like to see. I am sure there are a few fans that would rather see the Dome janitor get the head coaching job then for USD to go outside the Coyote circle. Wes needs to prove himself. I think he should either try to move to a D2 school and be the OC there for awhile to prove himself or maybe take a NAIA head coaching position somewhere. |

I doubt any SDSU fans think he will get the job but I can understand why they would hope he would. The longer USD stays down as a program the better it is for SDSU. When USD rises in the ranks it will only steal their recruiting advantage that they have. |

DeBoer gets my vote (#20) with Beschorner number 2 mostly because he does not have a track record of being a head coach.

What exactly do you consider kicking him on the way out? If it was my intention to try and drag Wesley's name through the mud I would have done so. There have been some pretty harsh comments about him on this board in the past, but now it's inappropriate to voice a negative opinion about him becoming head coach? Gimme a break. |

I didn't vote in the poll before posting. Unfortunately none of the three candidates hit the center of the target in my opinion. One was an FCS coach with little to prove; another had no D2 head coaching experience/success; the other has potential but no head coaching experience. I would add that after all has been stated, the first candidate apparently was not looking at opportunity, which counts for a lot. |
