CF, just give the man his due. Wes will always be loved in Verm and will be welcomed anytime he is in town. Thanks for everything Wes. Do you have a heart? Why do you feel the need to post this. The man lost his job. You act like it is no big deal. Imagine people celebrating and speaking ill of you if your job was terminated. Just say nothing at all... Well said coyote fan. I have been reading the posts on this blog for the better part of the last two years and I have to say that most of you guys are so pathetic and a bunch of pu$$ies. Coyotefan is one of the few to be upfront and real. The rest of you have been a bunch of cheerleaders and accept mediocracy. I understand your point Eddie but what if u were not performing at your job, how long would you still be there and how many excuses would people make for you? Do you guys understand the point of blogs? I'm so tired of all the raw raw and everyone being afraid of saying how they really feel bc so many of you get upset if anyone implies that usd football is anything other than gumdrops and candy canes. Wes was a good player but not a good coach. This isn't grade school and not everyone gets a participation ribbon. Michael Jordan was a superstar player but I don't think anyone feels like he had been a very good owner. Anyway, I want to say thank you coyotefan for being honest. Let's all try to be more honest with ourselves and coyote athletics and quite making excuses and being satisfied with mediocracy. As alumn and fans it's our duty to hold the university to a higher standard. Can't wait to hear the backlash from all of those cheerleaders out there. What you fail to acknowledge is that this is effectively a public message board. Recruits, parents, players, coaches and administrators can read it. Creating a negative environment on a public message board is detrimental to our desired success. Cutting down the program and its heros does nothing to help us. Whether you agree or disagree with CF's point isn't the issue. Wes left - what logical reason on earth is there for people to make negative statements about him? HE IS GONE. G.O.N.E. Thus, it is completely unnecessary to comment in such a form. That isn't holding ANYBODY accountable - it is being a cold-hearted a-hole.

haha I was thinking the same flashtaco. The point everyone is making is that theres no need to kick a man when hes down CF. Leave it be, we all know your stance on Wes.

It was consensus that Wes should get some outside experience. No need to rag on him for doing his best in the role he was thrown into. Thank him for being a part of USD and wish him nothing but he best. Why can't there be even one thread on this board that doesn't turn to a mess?

Ha, Evidently what I failed to acknowledge is that you think you own this blog and can police what other people can and should say or think. It's a public blog. It's also a free world. You want everyone to listen to your thoughts 24/7 and you're also willing to listen to others opinions.......as long as they are in line with yours. Why do you insist that it's so bad to have opinions or to disagree and have a healthy discussion? That's the only way to drive change and improve. Like I said you don't own this blog, do everyone a favor and turn in your World Police badge.

It has been well noted on the coaching thread that most USD fans did not want Wes retained as a coach. This is a separate thread that was started to thank Wes for his many years at USD as a player and coach. This day in age of athletics, it is hard to find someone that loyal. It is fine to criticize his coaching, but I felt that this thread was not the place for this. If you would maybe read some threads rather than read one comment and make your first post bashing the other posters on this site, maybe you would understand where I am coming from. We are all Yote fans and appreciate Wes for what he did. Hopefully you will stick around and add something constructive to this board in the future. Go Yotes!

It's really tough to think about Coyote football without thinking about Wesley Beschorner. I don't care how much you guys think you care about this football team, no one will ever come close in his love and desire for the game of football at the University... At least not in the foreseeable future. Disagree with me if you must, but Wesley put USD on the map for football in the earlier part of the 2000s.
One door closing leads to another door opening. I know that as ambitious as he is, he will find another spot to land on his feet (hopefully as a QB Coach at the FBS level).
Wesley is, from what I've seen/heard, one of the more genuinely good guys that we have had the privilege to have here. He also was a fantastic recruiter for the state of Iowa. We have gotten some great talent across the border. That ability will serve him well as he continues along his path. I have a feeling that Wesley will succeed anywhere that he goes. I wish him nothing but the best for him and his family.
I am just extremely excited to see what the best player in USD Football history can accomplish in the realm of college football.

Thank you for your service to USD Wes. I think that is about all that needs said.
This thread has now run its course.
