I don't think I would call him the best player in Coyote history although he was a very good player for USD. There were other players that went on to have careers at the professional level that would be considered at worst on his level but more likely above his level. He is definitely missed as a player but as a coach he could never really get it done and never really deserved to be in the position that he was in but that is no fault of his own rather was the fault of those that allowed him to continue to be in the position he was in. Hopefully he will go on and discover himself as a coach in another program. It was long overdue that he move on from USD. I am thankful the offense is going in a completely different direction as the change is badly needed.

Do you have a heart? Why do you feel the need to post this. The man lost his job. You act like it is no big deal. Imagine people celebrating and speaking ill of you if your job was terminated. Just say nothing at all...
I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself.

I gave Wes his due. He was a very good player at USD and I was thankful to have him as a player in the program. I just simply don't feel the same way about his coaching and I am not going to lie about it for a feel good moment. What is wrong with honesty and the truth. Him being as good of a player as he was at USD allowed him way too long of a leash as a coach. I guess my heart is just too black with objectivity.

Wes put up a better season than any other USD QB ever in 2005. Most passing yards in a single season, most TD passes in a single season, most passing yards in a single game against Omaha, and a NCC title to top it all off. Very good career on the playing field and I hope that someday he is able to find his way back to Vermillion.

Well said coyote fan. I have been reading the posts on this blog for the better part of the last two years and I have to say that most of you guys are so pathetic and a bunch of pu$$ies. Coyotefan is one of the few to be upfront and real. The rest of you have been a bunch of cheerleaders and accept mediocracy. I understand your point Eddie but what if u were not performing at your job, how long would you still be there and how many excuses would people make for you? Do you guys understand the point of blogs? I'm so tired of all the raw raw and everyone being afraid of saying how they really feel bc so many of you get upset if anyone implies that usd football is anything other than gumdrops and candy canes. Wes was a good player but not a good coach. This isn't grade school and not everyone gets a participation ribbon. Michael Jordan was a superstar player but I don't think anyone feels like he had been a very good owner. Anyway, I want to say thank you coyotefan for being honest. Let's all try to be more honest with ourselves and coyote athletics and quite making excuses and being satisfied with mediocracy. As alumn and fans it's our duty to hold the university to a higher standard. Can't wait to hear the backlash from all of those cheerleaders out there.

You never seem to fail to amaze us with this bile that you continue to spew on this forum. My Christmas wish would be for you to find a new team to "follow". Unbelievable!
