These are the players not listed on the 2016 spring roster from the 2015 roster that would not be out of eligibility. We all know about Gink, any word on the others if they are transferring or what happened?

Other than Gink most of those guys did not have significant playing time or were not big contributors from what I remember. May be better for Nielsen and company to have the scholarship offers with the kids they have been pulling in.

Is that all of them? I had recently heard a rumor of up to 10. If this is the extent of the damage, I would be pleased. Defections ALWAYS come with coaching changes. With the exception of AVG, none of these guys were major contributors. You never want to lose guys and I wish them all the best of luck, but I suspect this is for the better. There may be more. I just went off of the listed 2016 spring roster and 2015 roster. AVG was not on there so I figured it was updated. Maybe there are some still on the fence.

Cody Majeres was a great back at Canton HS and to my recollection, he was a new addition, not an outgoing one?? Maybe one of the younger guys can clarify or knows something I don't...
Anyway, I checked out the 2016 roster and am excited about two things. First, the depth we are developing compared to past years, and second, seeing Calvin Strong's name. That kid is a talent and I know I am not alone in anxiously awaiting to see what he can do in a Coyote uniform and whether he can become a regular contributor. More importantly, seeing his name on the rosters means he must be getting things figured out in the classroom too.

I believe Noah Roberts returned to the Yotes this semester, after playing last year at Wheaton College in Illinois. I believe he had left because of an illness in the family. He was a Redshirt 2 years ago and should be a redshirt soph next yr.

DL Wow. That puts us extremely thin at returnees on the DL and WR. Wasn't Saintil a guy mentioned as having a very good spring this year? Kind of disappointing. JeanClaude was a guy we seemed to think had some potential as well. And we are experts so it must be true. |

DL Via that list it appears the sophomore year is the most common transfer/drop year (end of RS Frosh year). I have to assume at that point the kids know if they can play at the FCS level and the coaches have a good idea as well. |
