As far as Love being a possible replacement, provided he has the qualities we are looking for this is the kind of a hire where building on what Amy has done would generally be considered a good thing as long as his goal is to basically do the same things that Amy does. I certainly wouldn't mind letting Seekamp be the main assistant under him if she would be interested. It would be cool to see Seekamp stick around as a GA but there is no way she is passing on a professional playing career. The sad thing is the MAXIMUM salary in the WNBA is only $109,500

Does anyone know what Ryun Williams gets paid at CSU? Just curious. $215,000 base salary plus incentives per this article: www.csurams.com/sports/w-baskbl/spec-rel/081114aaa.htmlPersonally I think Ryun Williams should be a stronger candidate than Amy if UNL is not restricting this opening to females. Ryun completely turned a program around, posting a 31-2 record this year, in a conference that is historically much tougher than the Summit. If Amy has an edge it's because of her status as an alum then potentially gender, but both would be excellent candidates for the job. I'm not ready to say my goodbye to Amy yet. Let's see how this plays out.

Does anyone know what Ryun Williams gets paid at CSU? Just curious. Just shy of $220k in base and he picked up $55k in performance bonuses (conference and conference tournament wins). However, there is a $1 million buyout of the contract if he leaves early. Someone will be very serious if they get Ryun before the contract is completed.

Easy to see why some would opt for a coaching career or seek out work in the offseason (couldn't help but notice the former Stanford standout and #1 pick in the 2014 draft doing commentary at our WNIT title game).

IF Amy gets the job, how many asst. coaches, players, recruits do you think might go with her? Nagy took two coaches and so far no indication of any players, although at least one recruit who had been offered by SDSU has now also been offered by Wright State.

This makes him less attractive than Amy by far,if it's going to cost UNL to hire him away from CSU. For those up on these things,as I for sure am not....do multi-year contracts have buy out provisions attached to them also....it would be a great deterrent to keep someone from hiring away a suddenly "hot commodity"....like a coach that has a successful season say like......winning the WNIT or something like that.....just curious.

I hope there is no need for any speculation about the new head coach and that Amy is still wearing Coyote red for many years, but if she does leave, a potential replacement might be someone who follows the same route as our head football coach.

I hope Amy would be far too classy to leave USD and take a bunch of players with her, that always strikes me as being kind of "tacky"....assistant coaches are different because the incoming coach likes to pick their own anyway ,so they usually go with their employer the HC. Recruits that have signed are usually given a release if the coach who recruited them leaves, but the school isn't obligated to do so, I think.Obviously, recruits who haven't signed are free to change their mind if they are so inclined. Would be interesting to see what direction people will go if the hire of Amy by UNL were to take place.Hoping it won't.

They get extra for doing endorsements (commercials),if they can land any, they must get some compensation for merchandising (products with their name on them)...and mainly overseas basketball in the WNBA off season.Maybe there might also be other way's they can use their fame to make money I'm not aware of.But yea,the max WNBA max salary is a joke.

Not surprising. Nebraska is getting the top coach from the Summit League. I can’t blame Williams for going back to her alma mater. I wish her great success in the future. Hopefully the signees will stay on board. I am guessing Herbster has been anticipating this and has candidates in mind already.

Well deserved, and quite the rise for Amy from Rogers State to USD to Nebraska. One can't help but applaud her work.
