Ok so I have talked a lot about Coyote football over the years and a good portion of that talk was critical and I believe I had every reason to take that stance. The program just hasn't been very good over the years and certainly has not been consistant in winning football games. I preached for change and that is exactly what we got. I just wanted to see an administration that was dedicated to producing a good football team and not just simply a nice football team. I have at best been wavering in my opinion that the commitment was there. Since Bob Nielson took over I can't think of one thing that has made me question his ability to put something together that we can all be proud of. I just like listening to him talk when he talks about the team and it's direction. He definitely seems to get it and everything he has done to date seems to indicate that he gets it.
So now that I see an outstanding effort on the behalf of USD to put a respectable program together I am putting my money and my time where my mouth is. I have made the commitment to season tickets so will be in attendance this fall. Until proven otherwise (and I don't mean just one or two isolated losses) I am putting my faith into this program.

Was a new thread really necessary? CF buying season tickets is really surprising, but I'm with you on this one. Any complaints will be more tolerable knowing that he has supported the team in a real way by being in the stands. |

Glad you bought them, but why the trumpet blowing of your move? Most of us on here have bought them and supported USD football for years. We support USD through thick and thin.

In CF's defense - Everyone on here is well aware of the general vibe of his posts. One of the usual responses is "at least I'm at the games" or something along that line. I believe it's a step in the right direction for him to announce he's actually excited and optimistic about things for the first time. Now, I also hope he didn't hurt himself patting himself on the back.

I really didn't mean this to be a "pat myself on the back kind of a thread" so sorry if it sounded that way. The purpose was basically just to state because of what is going on with the program that another Coyote Fan bought a season ticket and one that isn't just going to blindly follow the program if a great effort isn't made to put a winner on the field. It was also kind of to quiet a few critics that question my fandom for one reason or another.

The UNI game was great but evidently not the biggest comeback in MVFC history. One of the articles I just read on the Weber game said that the Yotes 21 point comeback in the 4th was the largest in MV history!!

Just had to do a little digging in the archives. It was a 28-7 deficit in the 3rd quarter.
Not taking anything away from the win this weekend. Just trying to stay cautiously optimistic. We've been here before coyote fans.
