Bunnies down by 3 to UNI with 2:10 to go. On behalf of Drunk Stig's liver, please let them come back.

As critical as they are of USD’s official attendance numbers, I’m going to be anxious to see what they report. I jokingly said 3000 earlier but I don’t think there was even 3000 people there. Gorgeous day, ranked team, and no support? As a player I’d be severely disappointed. I hope our coaches have photos of that crowd to,show future recruits. I’m dead serious. What a bummer for their players.

State wound up losing 4 out of 6 to end the season. Talk about limping into the offseason. The playoff committee was kind enough to route them away from Fargo via a woefully undeserved 7 seed, and after a bye they get a rematch at home with a UNI team that they clobbered 38-7 a few weeks ago. More luck was on their side as the weather forecast was about the best you could ever hope for in December.
Then, in the face of all this luck, they completed the implosion. About 2500 fans showed up, including a strong pack of visiting UNI fans. They scored 3 points in the last 57 minutes of the game. Fans are making excuses that their injured QB and RB are to blame when these exact same backups blew out UNI a few weeks ago (also ignoring that Heide put up better stats than Gibbs on the year anyways). That's some healthy momentum heading into the offseason.
It's safe to say that this program has no real home field advantage in the playoffs. They really screwed the pooch when they decided to build an outdoor stadium and an indoor practice facility. They spent all of the money needed for an indoor stadium but opted to chase that unique advantage of hosting teams in the bitter SD cold instead. Now they get to play in front of zero fans late in the season and often get outplayed in their "hostile environment" anyways. Good for them.

After all, they were the only team in the playoffs who had any injuries.

Maybe Stig should consider piping in some crowd noise??? Or maybe installing heated seats???

Yesterday was absolutely beautiful. Spent the day outside enjoying. Sweatshirt weather. Would have loved to have a home playoff game, great tailgate weather, and you all know the Dome would have been packed like it was D-Days.
There is really zero excuse for SDSU fans on this one. It was not cold and brutal weather.

Could be the farmers are still getting crops out of field. But not every fan is a farmer.
