Yeah the IC police are pretty good at their jobs, I was referring to the paper there.
Sorry, the DJK thing was still a bit out there. Yes, he had the new roomie but DJK SURE picked up on things fast and didn't go to the coaches about it. So no one on the team knew of DJK? Not even the coach's son, who is the starting center I believe. Come on, you are the only ignorant Hawks fan I have talked to about it. All the other ones I know are laughing about it and said how easy Iowa is getting off right now.
In terms of Wegher, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him in Vermillion in January. Would he be able to play in the spring game? I don't think so, but he would be on the sidelines.
Next question, would Wegher be the starter right away next year. He was great last year at Iowa so I don't see how he wouldn't open as the number one guy.

I believe the Cyclones & Hawkeyes both have their own message boards which would both be a more appropriate place for this Hawkeye vs Cyclone smack.
Also, I don't think an administrator should be referriing to any poster on this board as ignorant.
PS. Back on topic. Hopefully Wegher ends up at the U.

I did not realize we were smacking at each other. Actually, this story is being discussed on many other college athletics boards. Go to SDSUFans or Bisonville and check out the threads there. Like many other threads this got off on a somewhat related tangent since BW played at Iowa.

I forgot that Iowa even had a full team this year, I thought they only played 3 quarters. Just kidding, they would be in the Rose Bowl if they didn't lose 4 games in the last minutes of each game. I can't wait for Iowa to lose to Nebraska. Sorry Yote 53.

I think half the state of Iowa, and part of South Dakota, is going to be in Lincoln for that game.

Maybe I am in the minority here, but when the Hawks play Nebraska, I will be the biggest fan the Hawks have. I hope they kick the shit out of Nebraska as well as the rest of the Big 10.
I have zero respect for an institution that has been as rich in tradition over the years as Nebraska to pull out and leave. They basically said to HELL with everyone else.

I actually put most of the blame on Texas for Nebraska leaving because Nebraska was penalized for being in the Big 12 North in the profit sharing. When Nebraska said share the money in a better fashion, Texas said no and THEN almost left for the PAC-10 before a ton of money was given to them, which they already have. I give most of the blame to Texas.
In terms of the Neb.-Iowa game, is there a way both teams can lose? Both coaches seem to mismanage at the end of games, so it could happen.
Sorry Yote 53 for calling you ignorant, but you are the only Iowa fan I know that thinks almost nothing happened....they may be more, but some of the Iowa fans I know are crazy and even they think Iowa is really getting off the hook Cam Newton style right now.

I think what happened there happens at many schools. Kids are stupid and make bad mistakes at times. I would be more worried if there was a lack of institutional control, like flagrant cheating and paying players like Auburn. This is a matter of getting rid of bad apples and putting measrues in place to make sure voolaters get caught.
Do you really think KF condones drug use? I don’t.

I do not think Ferentz condones the drug use at all. I definitely don't think that, but I also think there was nothing he could do about it. I mean really, without the NCAA telling you to do it, can you really suspend a ton of players and such? Like you said, DJK wouldn't be the first player to do it, but yeah.
Honestly, as a Cyclone fan, this kind of just sucks for Iowa.
But that's what happens when consistent 7-5 teams are put on a pedestal...
Anyway, who want to see wegher in the spring game? That would be sweet!

Don't think it's happening. But don't have any official word, just rumor on the street.
