I see that UND currently is surprisingly about 20 spots ahead of the Yotes in the RPI. We beat Longwood pretty convincingly last night, who I understand you lost to. I haven't really followed your squad to closely this season..............what's the scoop on the Yotes this year?

Our team is so different this year. In many ways, they are more dangerous than last year, as we have an arsenal of 3 point shooters. However, our game inside is far more suspect. I am guessing it will be a whale of a game next Saturday.

Lots of newcomers, including two impactful Jucos, a true freshman center and a true freshman forward. Still finding our chemistry, but the Coyotes are dangerous. I wouldn't put too much stock in the Longwood game, at least in terms of measuring USD's talent level. I suspect it should be an exciting contest up in Grand Forks and later in Vermillion.

This was not a good outcome. This is a step back for USD in my opinion. Louie had a good game, but this is NOT good. I get Grand Forks is a tough place to play but jeez. Is Jake injured right now? Why did he not play that much? Ugh, this one is a TOUGH pill to swallow. They need some more depth because besides Tecker, I don't think there is much of bench at all.

Another bad loss for the U. Bottom line is this cannot happen anymore.

I see they had 2,778 for the doubleheader in Grand Forks. Would have thought they would have drawn more than that. What will they have for the rematch at USD in a couple of weeks?

Tough loss, smaller crowd than expected. But think of it this way. In men's BB we beat UND something like 15 out of 17 times. When USD loses we think it's terrible. In football, didn't they beat us something like 15 out of 17 times, so when they loose to us in football they probably think its a terrible loss.
My point - we can't expect to win every rivalry game, and neither can they. But this three in a row business sucks. Good thing we have some home games coming up to get back on track.

Let me rephrase, we can expect to win every rivalry game, but we have to be realistic in that we will not.

Let me be realistic, when was the last time anyone has had anything positive to say about the UND men's basketball team? This might be their best year in like 5, 6, 7 years? ??

Smaller crowd was because Minnesota was in town for a weekend series in hockey. Men's hockey is the #1 sport at UND.
