Any Given Saturday. The national board. And it had more activity for the Marker game than the SDSU and Yote board have combined right now. Sorry to burst your bubble. It's really inaccurate to call AGS a national board when from what I can recall probably 1 out of every 2 posters was an NDSU fan. There are definitely more bison fans than others there, but that's the way it's always been there. The top team at the time will have the most fans. Used to be App St. Now it's NDSU. But if you read more than just MVFC threads you'll find a lot of interesting conversations and fans from other schools.

Ask 90% of sdsu fans who their biggest rival is and they will tell you its USD. Only the limpies on the message boards say its the bison. They do this to rustle you up.
Hate State!
Go Yotes

Keys to victory. Big plays and turnovers. If Streveler makes some big plays with his arm or legs, and if our Defense can force some timely Rabbit turnovers while at the same time we hold onto the ball and limit mistakes, USD will win this game. That has been the formula all season long, no reason it changes this Saturday.
I'll add one more thing, the USD offense needs to come out the 3rd quarter and put some points on the board. We can't go extended periods where we go into hibernation. That means the coaches can't allow the play calling to fall off and/or need to do a better job in countering the defensive adjustments.

I have to believe this game was noted for the coaching staff when coming onboard. Good gauge of progress...
I'm interested to see if the secondary sits in zone or will they play more aggressive? I haven't see much press...
Wonder if Tyson goes back to safety for this game...
Keys: - Yotes have to be able to run the ball, SDSU can be run on -Secondary has to be able to slow the passing attack -Dline has to apply consistent pressure or secondary is toast

Seems like 1 or 2 have gone down each of the past few weeks...

Seems like 1 or 2 have gone down each of the past few weeks... True, there has been movement at the safety position, Tyson was moved to LB and Warner is injured... At corner there are no injuries and the coaches primarily use a 3 man rotation (kid subbing is an undersized true freshman). Playing zone could possibly mask the next guy up scenario, however it's difficult to sit in zone against a stud QB... Make no bones about it, this will be a tough test for the secondary and they will need an assist from the D-LINE...

Don't think anybody said you guys weren't a rival. Just not our number one rival. With how hard you're trying, it just proves itself lol

Maybe we can add an equestrian team to solidify ourselves as the "number one" rivalry in your eyes.

In my mind, sports rivalries come down to fan interest as best measured by fan turnout when the two teams face each other, whether it be football, basketball or another sport like tennis.
If the attendance is higher when NDS and SDS play each other than when USD and State compete against each other, then I'll grant they are SDS's biggest rival. Don't know the answer to that.
That stated, I hope we can rekindle our rivalry with UND and possibly bolster more fan interest.

As per a poster on the wabbit boards," If we don't sell out that's on USD fans... How do they not have more people coming up for the game? Have they lost alk [sic] hope in terms of beating SDSU?"
They are also making predictions that we only score 3 pts and that is because Bergner is so good (which they do acknowledge he is the best kicker in the conference).
