Rebound Margin:
USD +7.6 ORU +0.3
average= +4 for USD.
In our last game we were +10 over IUPUI. Have to win the battle on the boards.

Turnover margin:
USD -1.24 ORU +2.69
average= +2 for ORU
this could mitigate our advantage in rebounding a little. very close stats. Need to have Mad Mac get a few more steals.

OK, here's an interesting matchup: how often they go to the free-throw line (drawing fouls)
I had to kind-of create my own stat, "Free-throw attempts per game" (not a standard stat)
USD is averaging 18.4 FTA/gm ORU is averaging 16.1 FTA/gm
both teams are pretty good at drawing fouls, it seems, but USD is a little better
USD is averaging 17.7 personal fouls/gm ORU is averaging 17.3 personal fouls/gm
both teams are a little foul-happy, but ORU is slightly less. This balances things a little
USD is shooting 81.1% free throws ORU is shooting 67.8% free throws
so here is our best advantage, in my opinion. Could make the difference in a close game.

I think y'all are being a little hard on CF. really, what's the point of a poll if you expect everyone to vote one way? ORU is a tough team and a tough venue. Of course we all are rooting for a Coyote win (except some of the bunny fans on here). This is a pretty small online community, and CF is a frequent contributor. Although he can be a bit long-winded I have grown to appreciate his commentary. Let's not "eat one of our own" even though we ARE Coyotes. I agree. Thank you for being a coyote fan CF. Sometimes you can go a little bit too far, like we all can, but we get called out for it. And that is good. I'm mean he has a point. he picked a lot of those games correct.
Does constantly poking the bear with him help the situation? If he goes to far call him out but picking the coyotes opponent to win on their home floor is not an unreasonable statement. If you want to read non stop posts about how awesome we are and no one is better than us go to sdsufans.com. You will get more than enough there.
Thank you for your contributions CF I hope you continue participating as others on here do appreciate you.

I just wish CF would stop opining in such long diatribes... More often than not, I skip over his posts because they are too long to read. Try to be more succinct... Short and witty are the key. He clearly has too much time on his hands.

The importance he places on the almighty prediction is a minor annoyance compared to the constant negativity he exhibits. I'm done with his posts now though, all I will see is a box saying one of my ignored users made a post. If he doesn't get on your nerves then more power to you.

Yotes just doesn't get it. I pick the Coyote women to win every conference game until tonight and do pretty much do nothing but praise the program but when I pick against them for one game it's constant negativity. Being objective is often times considered negative. I am negative quite often toward the football program because they have historically given me very little reason to be positive with stone cold results. I need results on the field and not the great red hype which is usually what we get with that program. Nothing wrong with making them prove it on the field before buying in 100%.
I will say this though. I have responded to the positive things that USD has done lately. They build an arena and I have now gone to many more games which is not true with many fans. The Build it and they will come applies to me but very few others. Eventhough the football program has not proven in the win/loss column that they are serious contenders but based on what they did last off season I bought in and got tickets for every game. I don't want to have to bring this type of thing up but with all the hatred I get on this board I feel I have to defend myself more than I should have to.

Don't know the exact score because of having to use the split screen video between men and women but what a half for the Coyotes. They lead by 18 and this is the best defensive performance I have seen in awhile for the Yotes. Maybe ORU is out of sync but the Coyotes have a lot to do with it. Very good performance so far. Just gotta keep it up for what would be a fairly mammoth road win. 20 minutes is an eternity though.

69-47 Coyotes dominated the whole game. Coyotes got the better of ORU in just about every stat except fouls. 10-of-11 on free throws. Second straight game with AA being slowed. So instead she dished out a team high 6 assists. K. Liv with double-digits.

Unbelievable is all I can say about this one. The Coyotes stepped on their throat and never let up. The curse of Tulsa is dead. Good thing it only lasted a couple of years but it was a strong curse none the less. This was the only arena that the Coyotes didn't win in over the past two years in the conference. I guess winning against Tulsa in Tulsa opened the door for some success in the city. Do you think the major of Tulsa will give the Coyotes a commemorative key to the city before they leave town.
I didn't think there was any way that the Coyotes could match the efficiency that they played with against IUPUI, but guess what even on the road the Coyotes did it again. 58.1% from the field, 60% from three, 90.9% from the line. They out rebounded ORU 35-19. Are you kidding me? ORU is supposed to be good defensively. I noticed the ball movement was very good tonight for the Yotes but even with that the Coyotes made some tough girl shots tonight. I thought maybe the Coyotes hit a bit of a plateau with their improvement but they broke through that notion tonight with a very good performance.
This could have very easily been a loss tonight with an average performance and if there was a spread based on the rating systems ORU would have probably been a 2 or 3 point favorite tonight.
Things don't get any easier on Saturday in Omaha but now the Yotes can take a deep breathe with a little less pressure and just play their game. A win in Omaha and I think the Coyotes are in a pretty good position going forward. No time for a let down.
Great job Yotes.

Does anyone know why Fogg only played 8 minutes tonight?
Never mind....I see she had 4 fouls. That should explain it.

I'm done with his posts now though, all I will see is a box saying one of my ignored users made a post. If he doesn't get on your nerves then more power to you. I can respect that. As with life we are not going to get along with everybody or have the same views as everyone. Blocking his posts are fine.
I'm just saying he is obviously a fan. He wouldn't watch all the games that he does, post like he does, and have as much knowledge about USD (Even if some do not agree with that knowledge or if some is wrong) if he truly did not have a passion for the YOTES. So I think its unfair to say he is not a fan or that we wish he would stop coming to games or posting on the board.
