McKeever for 2 free throws and she makes both 55-50. Good Job Mad Mac.

15 second left 56-52 and the Coyotes to inbound. Don't turn it over and make the freebies and this one is history.

COYOTES WIN COYOTES WIN
SOUTH DAKOTA 60 OMAHA 52
great road trip for the Coyotes. We can't take for granted what a good road trip this was. Both lose-able games and the Coyotes blow out one and make clutch plays in the other to get the sweep. Allison is such a clutch player. So she is consistant, good and clutch. Not bad for a sophomore.

Listening to the game, it sounded like A LOT of calls went UNO's way. Not saying that's the only reason this one was close, but I bet we annhilate them in the SCSC. Our shooting was cold in the first half, but it seems like our defense has gotten even better for a third straight game. Fogg and AA had some clutch shooting in the 2nd half.
Good job, Yotes!

Long term it is nice to see that this program has such a bright future. This year going as well as it has gone has kind of salted away the idea of the program being poor any time soon.
Short term things are looking very good for the next 3 games before the road gets tough again. We play home against Fort Wayne, NDSU and Western Illinois. Fort Wayne should be a comfortable win. NDSU is going to stick in the minds of these players and I believe they will be out to prove a point and win that won big. Western Illinois will probably be the toughest challenge as they are kind of the forgotten about team in this league. People talk about IUPUI so much as a third best team but the Necks don't really get mentioned much. That could be a tough one but being at home I certainly like the Coyotes. If they sweep the home stand were are looking at 8-1. Very nice.

Resurrecting this thread to just simply point out that the 1st place Yotes drubbed a 6-7 Omaha team by 35 points today. (Final score 91 - 56)

Lady Yotes definitely were an offensive juggernaut!! You can always learn and get better-- in the first half gave up too many wide open 3s. That tightened up in the 2nd half! Great job Lady Yotes!! Go Yotes!!

Looks like they are peaking at the right time. Interesting that AA and Bradley have been more quiet in the last few games. I think their offensive strategy has changed and matured after the loss to State. Will probably end up being the turning point that propels them to playing at the level necessary to win it all.
Anyone more knowledgeable about basketball strategy know what has changed in the last three games?

Anyone more knowledgeable about basketball strategy know what has changed in the last three games? Well for one the opponents have changed which has made a big difference. Fort Wayne is terrible, ORU is going the wrong way and Omaha is mediocre as well. Western Illinois and SDSU are a different animal. I am kind of surprised that Omaha hasn't progressed this year. They seemed to really make a step forward with their young coach last year but this year they haven't moved forward at all. Their players just don't look very talented either. They seem kind of clunky out there. Their team pretty much quit in the second half. That is to take nothing away from the Coyotes because they didn't give Omaha a prayer of a chance today.
