On paper this should be a layup for the Yotes, especially how they have been playing in the last couple of games. I was way off in my prediction @ndsu, so I will be a little more skeptical for this one. Matchups to come...

scoring matchup:
USD averages 75.1 PPG / UNO allows 62.6 = average 69 UNO averages 69.2 PPG / USD allows 65.2 = average 67
I think our defense has been better lately. I'll go with the Yotes 69-60.

Shooting efficiency:
USD is shooting 47.1% FG / UNO allows 38.0!! = average 43% UNO is shooting 44.5% FG / USD allows 41.1 = average 43%
USD is shooting 38.4% 3pt / UNO allows 30.1 = average 34% UNO is shooting 37.2% 3pt / USD allows 37.8 = average 38%
the #1 shooting team vs the #1 shooting defense will be a key matchup. I hope our 3-pt defense holds up.

Rebound Margin and Turnover Margin:
USD averages +8.1 Rebounds and -1.72 Turnovers UNO averages +5.6 Rebounds and -2.76 Turnovers
We have a slight edge in both of these. I think we limit their scoring by limiting possessions.

Now for the Free-throw shooting:
USD has had 323 FT Attempts in 18 games = 18 per game UNO has had 219 FT Attempts in 17 games = 13 per game
USD averages 17.9 Personal Fouls/game UNO averages 15.2 Personal Fouls/game
USD shoots 81.4% Free Throws UNO shoots 68.5% Free Throws
We may be a little more foul-happy (+3/gm), but we are better at drawing fouls (+5 attempts). Again, I think our accuracy at the Charity Stripe would prevent us from losing a close game. (I don't think it will be a close game)

The Coyotes are flying high coming into the game. I don't think things will come as easy as they did against a good Oral Roberts club but I do think the Coyotes will win this one. 76-67 sounds about right for the Coyotes this afternoon. The Coyotes can't relax at all because without a good performance the Mavs are capable of pulling off the upset today if the Yotes play like they did up in Fargo.
Tip at 2PM

Omaha is a mid level Summit team but it just shows that the depth is getting better in the league except for maybe Fort Wayne. I think it would be asking for a little much to expect the Coyotes to win big in both of these road games this week.
45-45 with 4:00 to go.
Allison again for 3, 48-45 Coyotes.

Fogg with the counter. 50-50
