This game starts at freaking 5 PM on a weekday and I'm going to be in California for work, making for a 3 PM tip for me. Needless to say I will not be able to follow this game, nor should I when I'm staying a few feet from the ocean, but my sympathy goes out to the displaced Coyotes in the Pacific time zone who never get convenient tip off times. If there were ever a conference game I could choose to miss though this would be the one.

I would think Coach P will use this game to work out some kinks following a loss. But she doesn't strike me as someone to run up a score, so hopefully we are looking at getting a bunch of minutes for some of the lessor used players.

I have nothing to say. Just want to post so this shows up in the feed and we can leave the dumb WBB discussion behind.

Kind of what we were hoping tonight. A boring game and a comfortable lead for the Yotes. 67-44 with over 5 minutes to go. It would have been nice to win by 40 but I will settle for a 25 point win.

The Final is 82-55 for the Coyotes over Fort Wayne. Pretty much as expected and I am pretty sure the Vermillion Tanagers would have given the Yotes a tougher test. Fort Wayne is now 4-20. Nice to have this kind of a game as an easy bounce back after the toughest game of the year. The Coyotes should rather easily handle their next two home games against ORU and Omaha barring something very unusual. That would put the Coyotes at 11-3 in the league before their mini gauntlet out east to end the year.

Post-game quote from Coach P:
"We did a nice job of both attacking the rim and finding some post touches," said USD head coach Dawn Plitzuweit. "We have done a lot of dribble penetration this year and tonight we made a concerted effort to swing the ball and get the offense moving off the pass. We scored quite a few points in the paint by attacking, swinging, re-attacking and scoring in the post."
Combine that with AA having a limited role in this game, and I think they basically treated this game like a live scrimmage to "fix" their offense being too reliant on dribble-drives.
I think they can always go to that strategy if it is working, but in a game like against the Jacks, where they take that away, you have to have more different ways to attack.
Did anyone actually see this game? If so, how did they look?

Exactly my thoughts on the Jacks game kiyoat. I didn't see the IPFW game either but obviously many things must have went right. It was good to hear we took care of business.
