Good win for the Yotes last night! Charlie and Jake had excellent games! Gruis and Andreotti worked really hard last night. It seems as though the the rest of the players are reluctant to use these two. I understand that they are new to the program and Gruis is an inexprienced freshman. Gruis and Andreotti are very physical inside. They work from minute one to the last second of the game. Gruis leads the team along with the conference in scoring percentage. Gruis and Andreotti are solid rebounders. Yet these two are spending the majority of the time out at the threee point arc setting ball screens. Then they are expected to produce "Cain like" results inside. Houston did not present a huge inside presence but with that said wouldn't have that been the perfect opprotunity to work Gruis and Andreotti hard inside to help gain that valuable experience to be competitive in the Summit league next year?!?

They did use Gruis more at a post last night. He was 4-5 in the first half. I think something like 8-12 for the game. I'm sure some of those were offensive put backs, but many were looks down underneath A couple times he had his man one on one at the block and nobody would pass it inside. he played really well last night. With a couple more looks he could have had 25 too.

It will be interesting to see how the swapping of opponents will play out with Houston Baptist going to Grand Forks and UTPA coming to Vermillion. I think the Huskies are going to play the Sioux closer than what they played the Yotes. I am looking forward to the rematch with UND in the friendly confined. If the weather holds out I am looking forward to being at the game against the UTPA tonight.
