Its down to the final stretch. @ Indy and @ Macomb. Two of the four teams that still have a shot at a regular-season title.
These are season-defining games. IUPUI and the Yotes are both surging and finding their stride at the right time. IUPUI upset State on the same court last week.
Should be a good one!

Matchups: Scoring:
I don't have time to put together an in-depth matchup, but I did look at scoring for the last 5 games. Both teams have played SDSU, Omaha, Oral Roberts, and Denver in the last 5 games. USD played Ft. Wayne and IUPUI played NDSU. Basically they have had identical schedules in the last 5 games.
IUPUI is outscoring opponents 66.2-51.6
USD is outscoring opponents 72.6-55.0
that gives a possible win for USD 62-61, but I think we will do better than that. Our defense is still good, and the Yotes seem to have found some new strategies and tools on offense since the SDSU game.
I'll say we win 68-60

This game will have the biggest indication of what we can expect in SLT. Both teams play solid D and are playing their best right now - typically things that bode well in a tournament setting. Is there TV coverage?

It will be interesting to see how IUPUI's bigs play Fogg, as she will likely draw them away from the hoop. I suspect we are not a great match up for them, and think we are looking at a W tonight.

down 31-23 at half
IUPUI came out with energy and jumped on top. They shot lights out to start off and got it to 29-14. USD made a run down to cut it down to 6, and now at 8 at half.

Playing very poorly tonight. Commentator says we've turned it over on 5 straight possessions. Down 13 with the 3rd quarter nearing completion.

Refs are making traveling calls on our girls as they drive the lane... IUPUI girls are doing same thing, however, they aren't traveling... not sure what we're doing different...? Would think by now the Arens girls would know how to drive the lane without traveling...

Would think by now the Arens girls would know how to drive the lane without traveling... Don't put this on the refs. Yotes are just straight up getting beat. We can't buy a bucket and they have made every play when they need it. They have made most of their shots, and I've counted 3 times when they finally miss after milking the clock to get an offensive rebound and burn more clock. |

You're supposed to be playing your best basketball as you head into the conference tournament. Down 55-34 with 5 minutes left in the game. Probably the worst game on the season.
